Michael December 11, 2013 for Model Number DU1055XTSS I have a problem dishwasher will not start. Panel lights up push start button and heated dry light comes on. Will not start. Replaced BI Metal fuse was not the problem. How can I chech the heating element? Without pulling the unit out from under the sink. It will be very hard to do.
1 Answer Hello Michael. Lay in the floor and remove the toe panel and make sure power is off reach back and remove wires from element. Then use the meter leads and test the element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Mike August 17, 2011 for Model Number whirlpool diswasher DU1055XTSQ2 MY DISWASHER SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. THE ONLY LIGHTS ON THE FRONT CONTROL PANEL ARE THE RINSE, HOT TEMP,HEATED DRY. NONE OF THE OTHER BUTTONS TOO INCLUDE THE START BUTTON WORK. I TRUNED THE BREAKER OF FOR MORE THAN 60 SECS AS WHIRLPPOL REQUESTED, BUT NO CHANGE. I TOOK THE CONTROL PANEL APRT AND DID NOT NOTICE NAYTHING BURNT OR DEFECTED ON THE MOTHER BOARD OR CONTROL PANEL. I READ THE PREVIOUSE BLOG ABOUT THE FUSE. I AM GOING TO TEST THAT BUT I WANT TO KNOW AM I ON THE RIGHT TRACK.
