Douglas A. June 23, 2011 for Model Number SE1000(with electric dryer -maytag All components checked out fine, and the elecrical connection is Ok. Control board does not light, and the machine does not function.
1 Answer Hello Douglas. You can test and see if there is power at the control board. If so, you will need to replace the control board WP33001048. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dan June 13, 2011 for Model Number sg1000 When engaging the regular button on the control panel, the dryer runs for a nano second, stops then comes up with a code 6e. Fluff is the only mode that works. Is this action appear to be caused by the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Dan. The 6E code is for temperature control error (thermistor circuit fault or ambient temperature too cool). At room temperature the thermistor should read around 100,000 ohms. This should drop to around 18,000 ohms at 140°. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dan June 12, 2011 for Model Number sg1000 Replaced transformer for the dryer. When you press the regular dry button the dryer momentarily runs and a code 6e comes up. You can't clear it, you have to unplug it. Dryer will run on air fluff ok but thats it. Will the control panel board cause this problem? Replaced the thermistor and still the same.
1 Answer Hello Dan! Check the thermistor 306056. It should read 50-300k Ohms. You may test the part using a multimeter MA-DM1. Here is a link from our free repair forum you can refer to for help with using a multi meter. Hope this helps, thanks! http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Guest May 24, 2011 for Model Number SG1000 Does the control panel regulate the rinse cycle on the maytag stackable? All cycles are working except the water does not fill the tub on the rinse cycle. Could this problem be related to another part?
1 Answer Hello! It is possible your water valve is not opening correctly. That part is WP206413. I hope this info helps. Read More...
Geno April 16, 2011 for Model Number lse1000 I'm getting error code 7e. The last 2 items left to check are control board and cycling thermostat (regular) and control board. The thermistor I received from you'll I get no continuity reading ON 20K setting. You have been giving me xtremlly great service. However, How and What would the readings be for board and thermostat. I thank you all so much for your help. Sorry for the frustration I have.
1 Answer Hello Geno. There are a few things to check here. There is a spark gap 306130 that can cause the problems you have described and the thermistor 306056 can as well. The control board is the last thing to check. The spark gap can not really be tested, but if the machine has been shutting off before the end of the cycle, it is most likely the problem. Now for the 7e code, the thermistor is the most likely cause for this. You should get a reading between 50-300K ohms. If it is in range, then they suggest replacing the control board. Hope this helps. Read More...
