This replacement cooktop surface panel forms the appliance's upper cooking surface. It restores a smooth, level top, protects internal components from spills, and ensures correct alignment of the surface components for safe, reliable everyday use.

  • Forms the cooking surface and covers the chassis beneath
  • Provides openings/mounting points for surface components
  • Common failure signs: cracks, chips, dents, rust, or finish damage that won't clean
  • Warping or broken mounting points causing components not to sit flat or secure
What's included: 1 cooktop panel Install notes:
  • Disconnect power; for gas models also shut off the gas supply
  • Wear cut-resistant gloves; handle carefully to avoid bending, chipping, or scratching
  • Transfer surface components (e.g., burners/elements, bezels, gaskets, screws) from the old panel as directed by your model's service information
  • After reassembly, restore power and, for gas units, check connections for leaks before use

Jerry, The most likely cause for this will be that the infinite switch or the element is faulty. You will want to test power at the infinite switch and make sure that there is 240 vac coming off them to the element. If there is not power coming off them then this will be a bad infinite switch and if there is power then this will be a faulty element.
