Tonie, if the door is actually stuck then by all means replace it. First I would be finding the tech sheet and taking some measurements. I would check the readings of the motor for that diffuser as well as the sensor readings. Values for both will be on that tech sheet. If those tests okay it could also be a control board issue.

Dennis, there should be a screw holding the diffuser cover WPW10457601 to secure the diffuser W11164593 in place. Once the screw is removed, the cover will pull away allowing for the diffuser to be removed.

Yham, There are no screws once the cover is removed. It simply pulls straight out and the noise you are hearing is definitely the damper trying to open or shut.

Donn, According to the part lookup this part should have a square hole with a screw in it. This screw would need to be removed and would need to pull the part off.

S. You will need to put one of the pegs on the door in place and then twist the door to where you can get the second peg into the other side. This will be the only way to get the door back on.

David, There is a small opening to the next to the grill where it say filter that you would remove in order to take out the diffuser.

Hello Jerry. You need to remove the cover on the diffuser. Once removed, the housing pulls out of the side wall of the unit. If it is frozen in it, you may need to let it thaw out and then pull it out of the wall.
