Tonie July 31, 2020 for Model Number GSC25C4EYY03 The diffuser door is stuck opened causing my refrigerator to freeze because too much cool is passing through. Please help. What should I do?
1 Answer Tonie, if the door is actually stuck then by all means replace it. First I would be finding the tech sheet and taking some measurements. I would check the readings of the motor for that diffuser as well as the sensor readings. Values for both will be on that tech sheet. If those tests okay it could also be a control board issue. Yham November 19, 2019 for Model Number GSC25C4EYY00 I hear a popping noise from damper at the top left of the fridge (milk area). A plastic door keeps closing and opening every few seconds. I'm trying to open the part but see no screws on it. I tried to pull out gently but not coming off. Could you please guide?
1 Answer Yham, There are no screws once the cover is removed. It simply pulls straight out and the noise you are hearing is definitely the damper trying to open or shut. Read More...
Donn November 18, 2018 for Model Number GSC25C4EYY03 Been trying for hours to remove the cover so that I can remove old diffuser, with no success. One of your answers says there is a small opening next to the grill, not on mine, I have searched everywhere. Another answer says it may be frozen.Frig has been unplugged and all food and shelved out for two days. I can get right in ther to see, and there is no way I can see how to remove the cover w.o breaking it off. Any more ideas? TY
1 Answer Donn, According to the part lookup this part should have a square hole with a screw in it. This screw would need to be removed and would need to pull the part off. Read More...
David December 03, 2017 I have a whirlpool side by side refrigerator model wrs586fldmoo and in upper left hand side of fridge is the control for air flow. It struggles to open and close resulting in growling or grinding noise. The part I need is under a cover for filter. The cover lifts off and as styrofoam piece with the flapper and wiring pulls out and unplugs. I cant seem to find the part i need to order. Thanks
Darlene H June 30, 2017 for Model Number GSC25C4EYY03 There popping noise is coming from the damper inside top of the fridge on the left. It is actually the port on top that connects the fridge to the freezer. It appears that there is a flap of some sort that opens and then pops closed. There is a popping sound every time it does it and it is doing it about every 7 seconds. Can you tell me what is going on?
1 Answer Darlene, This popping noise that is being heard would be a faulty damper assembly which would be part number W10572852. Read More...
S April 30, 2015 I just received new diffuser. This one is a slightly different and has a door for filter, which came detached from the cover. How do I snap it on without breaking? It's plastic and I don't want to apply too much pressure.
1 Answer S. You will need to put one of the pegs on the door in place and then twist the door to where you can get the second peg into the other side. This will be the only way to get the door back on. Read More...
