Fred D. February 14, 2012 for Model Number Maytag DWU7400AAX I want to replace part APA114268. I unerstand it comes without wheels. Will I be able to transfer the wheels from the old rack the new one? By myself?
1 Answer Fred, the original lower rack WP99002572 wheels can be transferred from the original rack to the new rack. The wheels should snap off and onto the new rack. Thanks! Read More...
John M. January 11, 2012 for Model Number DWU7400BAX We have received rack #4114268 and clip #'s 4113042 & 4112831. We can not figure out how to clip the tines on to the rack on the rails. Please send us a picture showing how it works.
1 Answer Hello John! Here is a link to the picture of the tine clip needed to install the tine. The picture shows the clip downside up. You will want to turn it, so the upper part in the picture attaches to the actual dishrack and the tines to the ends left on top. I hope this information helps you, thanks! http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partpic/Z3BqLjFfZ2xfNjM0MTAwOTkvTFBXL3NvdG9ocHRyYXAv.jpg . Read More...
John M. January 04, 2012 for Model Number DWU7400BAX We have purchased a new lower rack pt. #4114268. It came with 2 tines but no clips for the tines. We were told the clip #'s are 4113042 & 4112381. How many of these clips do we need to order? We also need to know which direction the tines go one the rack. The only thing we can figure out is that the tines go in the opposite direction of the permanent tines.
1 Answer Hello John. Based on the part number you provided, WP99001436 is the correct tine clip. You wiil need to order 2 clips and they install on the rack rails. Hope this helps. Read More...
John K. October 22, 2011 for Model Number DWU7400AAX Ser#A1252449KE I received a rack, after 4 weeks, unlike the origional lower rack. This included two tines but no way to attach them. This is unsatisfactory as no dishes can be stacked in the lower rack. How do I get a suitable replacement? Or will you send me instructions and parts as how to install these tines so that dishes may be stacked.
1 Answer Hello John! The lower dishrack part number WP99002572 is the only replacement that the manufacture offers for the given model number. In the description of the part itself and per our additional information it states that the tine latch 99001746 and tine clip WP99001436 can be purchased, but do not come with the part itself. I do apologize for any confusions. Thanks. Read More...
Mark August 24, 2011 Do you have a picture of the assembly with the tines installed? I have all of the parts (rack, tines, clips) but can't figure out how to install the tines. Can you explain exactly where they snap on to and show a picture with them installed? Very strange design!
1 Answer Hello Mark! We do not have a picture of this lower dishrack. However, we have a very similar rack with instructions you can use to install these parts. Please check your email inbox for this information. Thanks. Read More...
Fred July 25, 2011 for Model Number Maytag DWU8530AAX I bought the AP4112831 lower dishrack. It does not agree with the drawing on your website. There is a photo, but it is undecipherable due to all the one-inch black grid lines. The new rack is NOT compatible with my dishwasher. It will not roll past the spray arm. I will have to cut some of the wires and figure out how to rustproof the exposed ends. It now seems that I must also buy something to attach the tines. And also a new silverware basket because the rack is incompatible with the original basket. What do I need to attach the tines? Why doesn't the item description mention all these things? And why did it take five weeks to get the part when your website says "in stock" and delivers in two days?
1 Answer Hello Fred! I do apologize in the delay of getting this part to you within the amount of time suggested. I'm not too sure what the issue was regarding your order and the shipment. The lower dishrack replacement suggested from Maytag for your model DWU8530AAX is our part number WP99002572. The only information that the manufacturer has supplied is that this rack now only uses 6 wheels instead of 8 like the original and this rack now only comes as a bare rack, no wheels or tines inlcuded. For wheel and axle use WP903093. For tine latch use 99001746. For tine clip use WP99001436. The silverware basket used on this model is part number WP6-918873. Thanks! Read More...
Catherine May 18, 2011 for Model Number DWU9200AAX Where and how do the tines attach? They are much longer than the tines of the original model which where incorporated into the rack itself w/o attaching parts. Please help me out on this.
1 Answer Hello Catherine. Here is a link to the picture of the tine clip needed to install the tine. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partpic/Z3BqLjFfZ2xfNjM0MTAwOTkvTFBXL3NvdG9ocHRyYXAv.jpg . The picture shows the clip downside up. You will want to turn it, so the upper part in the picture attaches to the actual dishrack and the tines to the ends left on top. Hope this helps! Read More...
Jim R May 15, 2011 for Model Number DWU9921BAE The picture of the rack AP4114268 and the descriptions in the Q&A still leave confusion about just what is provided with this replacement rack. When you say that the rack is furnished without tines, are you referring to the removable adjustable tines in the right rear of the rack or are you saying that the bottom of the rack does not even have the fixed tines that were part of the original? If the latter is the case, are there other racks from similar models that could be substituted?
1 Answer Hello Jim! The rack WP99002572 does not include the convertible tines. Also, the back portion of the bottom of the rack also does not have any tines. Thanks. Read More...
Catherine May 14, 2011 for Model Number DWU9200AAX I just purchased the lower rack and it came with two tine pieces but no instructions as to where these attach. Since the design is not like my original rack, I have no idea where these attach and I don't know which latch I have to buy to attach them.
1 Answer Hello Catherine. For the lower rack tines, you will want to order WP99001436. You need a quantity of 2 clips for each tine. Thanks! Read More...
Tina April 24, 2011 Hello, I see you changed the photo. Thanks, however there are two parts looks like tines, I did not get them with my new lower rack, why and where do they go?
1 Answer Hello Tina! At this time, this is the photo that we have listed. However, in our description and further research, it seems that the manufacture is no longer supplying any of the parts (tines, tine clips, or wheels) with the rack. This rack will come only as a bare rack. The other parts will need to be purchased separately. Unfortunately, the tines are no longer available. Sorry. Read More...
