Chris January 07, 2018 for Model Number KitchenAid Side by Side KSRB25FRBX01 It appears I need a new door cam. However, I can't tell if I have upper and lower cams, or just a lower cam. The kit you mention in that contains both upper and lower cams is listed as not compatible with my fridge. My questions: 1) Do I have upper and lower cams, or just lower cams? 2) If I need both, do you have a kit that is compatible with my fridge? Thanks in advance for your help!
1 Answer Hello Chris. Your model uses both and you will need to order 4318165 for the upper and lower cam kit needed. Thanks. Read More...
Dennis July 17, 2017 for Model Number GS5SHAXNQ00 I ordered a top door cam on the refrigerator side but did not know there was a lower cam as well. Are they the same part? Please advise. Thank you.
Emory G. March 09, 2017 for Model Number ED25DQXDW04 The refrigerator door on my Whirlpool, Model # ED25DQXDW04 needs the lower of the two Cams that are on the bottom of the door. I was given the cam that sits on top of the lower Cam, twice, when I ordered the Cam; and it is not the upper Cam that is worn. Now I have three of the "on top of the lower Cam". Can I please order just the lower of the two Cams without having to order both, since I have the one that sits on the top of the lower cam?
1 Answer Hello Emory, WPW10329686 is the lower cam that sits directly on top of the door hinge. If two are needed, you will need to order two of these. The cam that connects to the bottom of the door is only available by ordering the door closer kit 4318165. I'm sorry but this is the only way these are available. You will need to send the others back for a refund so if you could please call us at 1-877-477-7278 with the units' model and serial number, one of our reps will be happy to get this set up for you. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Elliott July 29, 2016 for Model Number 106.57706701 I need to replace the freezer door cam. I can't figure out how to remove or reinstall the new cam as there is both a water line and a wiring harness going up through the center of the hinge. Your videos only show models with a water line. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Elliott. You will do it the same way. You have to remove the door from the unit to replace the cam and you just work the parts through the hole in the cam. Read More...
Barbara June 01, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore 10653606202 Refrigerator door not closing properly. After doing some research I believe it needs a new hinge cam. However, I see the option to buy a "kit" for top and bottom? How do I know if I need the kit, or just the bottom cam?
1 Answer Hello Barbara. It is always best to install the kit if one cam is bad. The others will have wear on them and will fail soon if not replaced. Read More...
Nick October 20, 2015 I saw the video for the lower part of the door-closer cam, whirlpool-cam-door-w10329686-ap5644987.html which is the lower part of the door-closer cam. However, I need whirlpool-door-closer-kit-4318165-ap3103517.html which is both the lower and upper part. I suspect the upper part will be considerably more tricky to install. I have not been able to find a video or a write-up with instructions for that. Please advise.
1 Answer Hello Nick. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. Here is a link to help you locate it. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Paolo October 15, 2014 for Model Number 7ED5HHE I have a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator model 7ED5HHE, part number 7ED5HHEXTQ00. The refrigerator door makes a clunk noise when opened and closed. The fridge door is OK. What are the part numbers of the door cams that should be replaced. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Paolo, If the model number is actually ED5HHEXTQ00, you will need to order two of part number WPW10329686 for the lower cam risers, (one for each door), and if the ones on the bottom of the door is WP2182179 and you will need two if servicing both doors. Read More...
James May 22, 2014 for Model Number Estate TS22AEXHW01 Hi, I installed the lower door cam, part #AP5644987, on my refrigerator. It fit fine and everything worked for a short time. The part broke after a few door openings. I ordered a couple more thinking the part may have been defective. I just thought I would ask if you can think of anything I could have done wrong. Thanks
1 Answer Hello James, I would try replacing the opposing cam also since it can cause the damage to the other one. There is one on the hinge and one on the bottom of the door. The part number for the kit is 4318165. The door cam only is WP2182179. These are the same from the fresh food door to the freezer door. Read More...
Bob January 18, 2014 for Model Number 106.9535580 i ordered and installed a cam for the bottom of the refrigerator door. It seems that there is a plastic piece on the bottom of the door that is also cracked. What part is that? Also - there is a larger gap on the fridge side than on the freezer side - is this because of the cracked upper piece?
1 Answer Ken, if you are questioning the door closer kit part number 4318165, yes, it will work on your model GD5RVAXVQ02. Thanks! Read More...
