David November 22, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool Duet Electric Dryer Dryer performs reasonably well until it gets to a certain part of the cycle, then the timer seems to stick. I wondered if this was the moisture sensor, but perhaps timer or motherboard? I look forward to your answer. David
1 Answer Hello David, This is likely to be a ducting issue since the moisture and heat inside the unit can stall out the timers' advance. If you could re-post with the model number from the units' I.D. tag, we can look up specifics and give a more precise diagnosis. Read More...
Jim October 05, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 11065962401 (Whirlpool (OEM) Part #3387223 moisture sensor) Dryer usually stops a few minutes after running on moisture sensor cycle but runs to completion on timed cycle.. Removed the exhaust port and found no clog. Can the moisture sensor bar or dryness control board be defective?
1 Answer Jim, The issue with the unit shutting down during the moisture sensor cycle would be more likely an issue with the dryness control board WPW10476828 being faulty. Read More...
D.W.M. August 19, 2014 for Model Number MDE9606AZW I was putting my Maytag (MDE9606AZW) dryer back together and discovered that one of the connections from the moisture sensor bars had come loose. This part has 4 connections points. It has 2 connections on each end, 4 in total. The blue wire was still in place. The green was not. I would guess it was the ground wire. What I need to know where the wire goes on moisture sensor (where to connect).
1 Answer Hello D.W.M., The green wire connects from the other sensor bar to chassis ground. There is only one wire to each sensor bar. Read More...

Joe July 19, 2014 for Model Number GEW9250PW1 Dryer does everything right except it stops before clothes are dry using sensor mode. I have replaced heating element, thermal fuse and internal-bias thermister. Is the moisture sensor the suspect?
1 Answer Hello Joe, There may not be a problem at all. This is dependent on how many clothes are in the unit when it cuts off before the items are dry. You see, there have to be enough clothing in the drum to pass wet clothes across the sensors every revolution. If not, the timer will time out before the load is dry. Read More...
Albert July 07, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool Electric Dryer GEW9250PWO Hi there! My dryer turns on but won't start. I noticed that the status is not lighted up and not sensing anything. It only beeps for a second. Could it be the reason why it won't start? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Albert. Check for a broke belt and test the thermal fuse and door switch. Either can cause the issue your having. If the fuse is bad, check the vent and make sure the temperature is cycling on and off. If it does not cycle, you will need to order and replace the main board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

1 Answer Randy, You will want to check the door switch and the thermal fuse on the blower housing to make sure that they are good. The dryer is acting like it has started but if one of these is bad then it will cause the issue you are having. Read More...
