For Whirlpool End Cap, Pantry (Rh) (Part Number: OEM18016566)

Don, The part that you would need is the endcap part number WP12656105. To replace this part you will need to remove the crisper drawers and the glass over the pantry assembly. There will be 3 screws 1/4" hex head that you will have to remove then slide forward and out. Once out you will need to remove the rail. The rail will be held in by 2 screws and you will have to slide the rail forward to access the screws. One of the screws will have to be accessed through a hole in the rail.

Mark, When you pull the end cap off, at the back of the endcap there is a clip that holds the back part of the control in place. You will need to pop this piece out of place and on the back of the endcap release the tabs that hold the slide control bar in place. Rotate the control arm to take off the control slide. Once off you just pop the slide out of place from the bottom.

Fred Genter for Model Number Amana fridge ARB8057CSR

The peg on the right side pantry door support track which secures the pantry lid of my unit broke off. So I need to replace the right-hand shelf support/endcap. (1) This is part AP4456441 (mfg number 12656018), correct? (2) As I understand it, a beginner with no training can easily make this replacement, using only a screwdriver, correct? This piece houses a temperature control slide. Is it relatively simple to transfer the old temperature control slide. Anything I should know? Thank you.

Hello Fred, you are correct, WP12656018 is the correct part and this is a simple repair. Just pay attention how you take the old one out and the new one will go back in the same way. A screwdriver should be all that is needed. Hope this helps!

Hello E J The end cap does not just snap into place. There should be 3 screws that are 1/4' hex head to remove. Once you remove the screws then you will transfer parts from old endcap over to new endcap.

J.Y. , There shouldn't be anything holding the side support track to the back wall. They are mounted to the side walls with screws> once you remove the pntry drawer and shelf glass, you will need to "unsnap" the metal side rails and slide them out of the support, then you'll have to remove the screws, under the metal rails. The right side support, with the adjustment lever, will have a shifter rod, that attaches toi the air shutter on the back wall, but that is just a snap on/off fit. Thanks

Mike, you'll need to remove the drawer, lid and glass shelf from the end caps. Once you have the glides and mounting screwws removed you can carefully move the end cap away from the wall. You'll need to disconnect the control bar from the control slide in the rear corner of the cabinet, then you can remove the end cap and remove the slide control knob. Good Luck
