For Whirlpool Pump Drain Filter (Part Number: OEM18051624)

Mark, to check the lint filter, you would need to remove the wash impeller and the spin basket. If the washer drains, in 60 seconds or less the washer is OK. The washer senses load sizes and adds correct amount of water for optimal cleaning, but can be overloaded, easily. Load garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall. Do not load above the stainless steel portion of the basket. Load with dry items only. Use cycle designed for the fabrics being washed. The load will not be completely underwater. The washer senses load sizes and adds correct amount of water for optimal cleaning. Make sure you're using the proper type of detergent, and the proper amount for the soil level of the articles. Improper loading and improper use of detergent can and will produce lint or "pilling" from the articles not circulating in the water properly. Thanks,

Doug Efird, you will need to remove the basket to access the filter cover that is over the drain pump. It is possible to tilt the unit back and remove the pump from underneath, this way you don't have to remove the basket, either way should work.

Hello Greg. Remove the hoses and look for clogged screens. If they are clear, you will need to replace the water valve WPW10683603 on the unit. Thank you.

Hello Greg, you'll want to check the screens on the back of the water valves. You can do this by unscrewing the water inlet hoses and checking the screens on the valves and if your hoses have screens check them as well. If all looks good, make sure you have proper water pressure before replacing the water valve. Hope this helps!

Carl, The issue would sound like there is a problem with lint not washing out of the tub when it drains. You will want to pull the inner tub to see if there is a lint build up around the outer tub.

Gpl2112 for Model Number kenmore 11021102012

how exactly do i access the filter for this model? can a clogged filter be the cause of this models following problem...I would really appreciate your expertise with. Kenmore top load automatic, mod. 110.21102012. Fairly new. still with warranty, but warranty is no good if debris is caught in it? Anyway it fills and agitates fine. lid is locked during agitation, you must pause it to unlock. after wash cycle the timer does not advance, it won't drain or spin (it will drain manually). there is nothing in the pump chamber and hoses are not blocked. If i manually set it to drain/spin it does nothing.there is no filter in the inner tub and i can't find a filter in the pump housing. So,do you have any suggestions. Thanks, Jerry in upstate new york.

Jerry, It doesn't sound like it's something you did or didn't do. It sounds like you may have a faulty drain pump WPW10276397 or control board W10480174 not supplying power to the pump to drain the tub, The tub has to drain, the water level switch WPW10268912 has to reset to empty, for the tub to spin. The Tech Data Sheet, should be attached to the inside of the front panel, you want to access it and conduct the automatic, manual test, and diagnostic code options, to determine where the isuue is.
