Today, when the filter popped out, water flowed continuously out of that area. What's the deal? Why? I put the new one in quickly but it's not connecting. There is no air in the line like normal when u flush it. It did stop the water flow. Help!

Tim March 17, 2014 I have an architect series side by side Kitchenaid. I regularly change the filter. This last time, however, it tastes like chlorine even after I flushed it. Never happened before. When I bought it I asked at Lowes and got the last two digits 41 not the fast fill 10. The 41 is what I had last time and had no problems. Do I have a bad filter?

Dale March 15, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool GS6SHAXKB01 I purchased a replacement filter "Aqua Fresh WF285". This is the fifth time I have replaced the filter with no issues. All replacements have been the Aqua Fresh WF285. This time when I place the new filter into the socket I can not turn the filter to lock it in to place. The old filter and the new filter appear to be identical. When I place the old filter back into the socket it locks in to place perfectly. Any suggestions?

Gavin G January 27, 2014 Hi there. I have a toe panel water filter in my cabin. The frig never had a water line hooked up to it so I did it and water came pouring out of the filter. Turns out the filter looks like it had been dropped or something, cracked all over. I turned the water back off and removed the filter so I could order a new one. But I really don't even want a filter b/c I'm only using to make ice for a cooler. Do I even need to have a filter or do the two holes seal over without the filter installed? In other words, can I turn the water back on without a filter in place? Or will I flood my house? Now that I'm thinking about it they must seal or how would you ever change the filter without turning the water off.
