Marilyn July 31, 2025 for Model Number ED0GTQXKQ00 I removed the front of the ice maker to clean. When I put it back together the ice maker and the water dispenser are not working.
1 Answer Hello Marilyn, thank you for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com The only component within this unit that would prevent water being dispensed and the icemaker from making ice is the water valve WP2188542, otherwise the icemaker and water dispenser are fully independent of each other. If there is water to the valve and voltage there when calling for water at the dispenser then the valve would need to be replaced. Read More...
Victor September 20, 2021 for Model Number GS6SHEXMS00 I viewed the video to replace the Ice Dispenser Guide #WP2180224 and did not find the slot on the dispenser panel indicated in the video. Should I apply the same approach as in the video to try and dislodge the bottom of the dispenser?
1 Answer Victor, the dispenser drip tray would need to be removed, exposing two screws on the dispenser cover. With the two screws removed, the cover should lift up and out. This will allow access to the ice dispenser guide WP2180224. Read More...

Sally January 09, 2013 for Model Number ksrg25fkwho2 How do I take old one off to either clean or replace ice guide. clear plastic and is very dirty or maybe mineral residue. Icemaker guide on outside of door. Parts # 2180224
1 Answer Hello Sally, To remove the ice guide you will want to take the drip tray out. Use a flat blade screwdriver under the lower part of dispenser cover in the slot and pop cover loose. Once loose you will then take the dispenser bracket out. Once out, on the back side of the dispenser lever are 2 clips that you will push out and over the lever. Once those are loose you will roll the guide out being careful not to break the tab on the bottom. Reassemble in reverse. Read More...
