James June 08, 2012 for Model Number kebc107kss03 Serial number on the oven is: xp3801133 It seems the oven door hinges may need replacement as the door lowers down so far it actually rests on the lower part of the oven. I'm told it should come to rest slightly above, not below, horizontal. Is this correct? If so, it seems new hinges are needed. But how do I tell which of the many different part number, or numbers if sold individually, do I need? Thanks.
1 Answer James, You're correct, the oven door should not go past horizontal / 90 dgrs. The first thing to check is the oven front frame 9759060 , in the area where the hinges insert into the frame, make sure the hinge area is not "bowed" or bent. Then, replace both the hinge receivers and the hinges, You'll need to slide the oven out of the cabinet. The parts you will need are : Receivers WP4455605 WP4455606 and Hinges WP9760577 (R) WP9760578 (L). Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
