Is the check valve in the sump KitchenAid 8268375 Check Valve, Sump the Check Valve or are there two check valves? Check Valve for Pump Sump Appliancepartspros Part# : AP3152971. The question is are there two check valves for draining? One in the sump and one in the hose? I do not want to buy a hose if it is the same one I have. Thanks!

Rjl June 10, 2011 for Model Number KitchenAid Stainless Steel Dishwasher Model KUDS01FLSS1 When removing the elbow connection of the drain hose from the drain pump a soft white rubber washer 1/2" Dia.~ 1/8" thick with a 1/8" inside diameter recessed about 1/16" fell out. On the hose it says do not remove the check valve which is supposed to be in the hose but I cannot feel any check valve as I can push my small finger into the hose around the bend in the rubber. Is the white washer part of the check valve? I tried to get it in place but no luck! Is the hose good to go without this washer? I have no idea where it came from. I am trying to fix a no lights or water in washer and cannot restart situation. I'm finally at the drain pump. Help appreciated. RJL
1 Answer Hello, it sounds like the white washer you found was at one point attached to the check valve. You will have to replace the drain hose since they do not offer the check valve separate. Thanks! Read More...
