Rich April 22, 2013 for Model Number RS25AFXMQ00 The ice maker has stopped working completely. The arm will not go down to start the process. What could be wrong with the ice maker and if broken, what part or parts would I need to fix the problem? Thanks.
1 Answer Rich, Check the motor module on the icemaker and see if the pins in the middle of the large gear are pushed together with no space or if one is broken. If either of these issues has occurred then replace the icemaker module W10190935. Read More...
Dave S April 21, 2013 for Model Number ET19DKXEW01 One of the nylon gears inside the ice maker control module's gear reduction motor stripped. My ice maker Model # is IM #S 106626633. The numbers on my external "timing wheel" are A-40611-1M, 4-188, 628358 The Mfg part # W10190935 looks to be identical to the one I have but it doesn't cross-reference over to my refrigerator model #. Will this control module work with my refrigerator and if not, which module will? Thanks, DAve
1 Answer Dave, Yes, the icemaker control module W10190935 is the correct module for your unit. Read More...
Gene April 17, 2013 for Model Number 106.53665300 Just purchased part number ap4359694 for ice maker. I want to confirm that I do NOT have to adjust anything relative to this part.........Just remove existing part and replace with new one. What do I need to do to control the size of the cubes? Thanks Gene
1 Answer Hello Gene. There is a small plastic screw on the right side of the module that is used to adjust the size of the cubes. But it is not needed on install. The icemaker comes from the factory set and ready to go in the unit. Read More...
T.P. April 06, 2013 for Model Number ED5VHGXMB11 Icemaker fills with water, arm drops and ejector goes into position, but it stops there. Ice never ejects. I noticed the part that connects to control module was broke. Would that keep it from cycling through? Ice does melt some, but ejector never pushes through. thanks
1 Answer Hello T.P., The control module gear "times" the icemakers' operation so it can operate properly. If the part that holds the gear in position is broken, the module W10190935 will have to be replaced. Read More...
John D April 04, 2013 for Model Number msd255oveso1 Water is coming from water hook up at wall but know water going into icemaker.
1 Answer John, You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Craig K April 02, 2013 for Model Number Amanda lower door freezer I have had my ice maker for many years and it has made ice quicker than anyone else's. Just recently I noticed that when the ice tray fills it over flows into the collection tray and freezes together with the other ice cubes and makes the cubes unusable. I know I can adjust the size of the ice cubes with the adjustment screw inside the motor cover but it doesn't seem to change things. I have only made half turns at a time. Should I keep turning it further? Also, why after all this time of excellent service would I have to make these adjustments?
1 Answer Craig, Turning the adjustment screw only allows minimal amounts to be increased or decreased. You will want to pull the icemaker out and check for the icemaker mold deteriorating. A mold that has the coating coming off will cause the icemaker to leak and water to get into the bin. If this is the case then you would want to replace icemaker. Read More...
Bill M March 19, 2013 for Model Number model: rim 185w-115v-1.6a-60hz My ice maker is letting to much water into the tray. Is there an adjustment screw to allow less water into the tray?
1 Answer Bill, when you pull the cover off the icemaker assembly there is a plastic screw on the side of the module. That screw is for adjustment. Turn to the right for more left for less. Read More...
Curt February 22, 2013 for Model Number ET8GTMXKQO1 This fridge runs continually with very little cool air circulating in freezer part, coil is not frozen. Can you give me an idea as to what might be going on? Thanks for your help. Curt

Gordon February 08, 2013 for Model Number KSRS25IHBL02 I am not getting water to my ice maker. I have replaced the fill valve. I had tested with the leads from the water dispenser fill valve and the I/M fill valve made a loud hum so I replaced it. The I/M will make ice and dump it if I fill the tray by hand. I notice there is no emitter light but I have never seen it on .
1 Answer Hello Gordon, You will want to check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen causing no water to come into the icemaker. If the fill tube is not frozen then pull the front cover from the icemaker and pull the icemaker motor module off. Check the back of the motor module for burnt connectors. If there are burnt connectors then you would need to replace module W10190935. Read More...
David February 07, 2013 for Model Number ed5ghgxmb00 My Ice Maker stopped working, the wire arm that is the on and off control switch for recycle of fill tray in the on position does not seem to be working, it can be pushed to off but in the on mode it just seems to be dead, you can move it about 3/4th down but the the wire arm will not stay all the way down and no water goes into the mold. I manually put water into the mold thinking the frozen weight would would start the Ice Maker, it did not, please help! Thank you
1 Answer Hello David, This sounds like one of the tabs that holds the timing gear in the motor module W10190935 in time has broken. If you remove the white cover from the end of the ice maker and look in the center of the gear, there are two tabs that the gear fits onto. If only one is present or the two tabs are touching one another, the motor module will require replacement. Read More...
