1 Answer Hello George. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Silved2 January 31, 2013 for Model Number KSSS42QDW05 Ice Maker Control / Signal arm no longer stays up. Furthermore no ice is being made even though the arm is in the down position. 1 Answer Hello Dale, You will want to check to make sure that the heater is good on the icemaker. A lot of times if the heater is not working the icemaker is trying to force the ice out and will make a clicking type noise. If this is the case it would need a new mold assembly. 1 Answer Hello Rick, You will first want to check the temp of the freezer section. Your freezer should be running 0 degrees with a plus or minus 5 degrees. If the temp is not correct then you want to check to see what is causing warmer temps i.e. dirty condenser coils, evap or condenser fan motor not running, etc. You will also want to check to make sure that you are getting proper water flow into the icemaker. Ken December 19, 2012 for Model Number GD5SHAXKT02 Ice maker goes thru one cycle of ice and stops. Have water filling trays, dumps ice into bucket. Water fills tray but then that's it. 1 Answer Hello Ken, When looking at the sensor light, if it is not on then push on the light switch at the top and see if there is any flashing. If not then you have a bad board. If it is flashing then close the door and give it 5 minutes. This will allow unit to finish cycle. When you go back just open door and see if flashing. Ken December 19, 2012 for Model Number GD5SHAXKT02 Ice maker goes thru one cycle of ice and then stops making any more ice. bucket is about half full. tried emptying bucket to start fresh with no ice. water comes in fine, fills tray, then dumps normally, but only goes thru one full cycle. I cleaned tray, pulled connections apart (wiring harness), put back together. Is sensor on side panel of door (by on/off switch to ice maker) to be light up? mine doesn't light up. Is sensor bad or control module? thanks

Oscar December 03, 2012 for Model Number 106.56502400 My ice maker fills the water but then it will not shut off, so it fills the ice bucket and spills all over. This happens more often than not. Sometimes it will shut off and make ice, but the next time, it will not shut off and water will leak out and spill all over the floor. What part do you think is bad?
