Dale November 30, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool GS6NBEXR001 My refrigerator no longer will kick out ice down the chute. The relay clicks and on occasion it will momentarily seem to turn but not enough to send out ice. Then it will click only with no response from the motor. Do I need to replace the motor or is it something else?
1 Answer Hello Dale, The first thing you should try is to pour your ice into a bowl and clean out the smaller particles of ice out of the bottom of the ice bin. These smaller particles will freeze together and cause the auger motor to bind. If this doesn't correct the issue, either the auger motor WP2252130 or the dispense board WP2303843 have failed. Bill November 28, 2012 for Model Number KSRS25IKSS01 My Kitchen Aid ice maker seems to send too much water to the holder thus having water drip down inside the box freezing down the inside. It take about 8 seconds for the water to fill the holder. Is there a way to reduce the amount of water being dispensed?
1 Answer Hello Bill, There is white plastic screw on the side of the motor module under the white cover that is for adjustment of cube size. With the unit dripping this would more than likely not be the cause. You should check your ice mold for deterioration. If there is deterioration you would want to replace the icemaker 2198597. Also check to see if the water completely shuts off and is not still trickling out. If this is the case then the water valve W10408179 is not seating properly causing leaking issue. Approximate 8 seconds is the time the icemaker should fill. Read More...

The flippers that push the ice out of the tray stick, once I give them a push they then cycle and kick the ice cubes out and the cycle continues, but again it sticks, is it the motor or control unit?
1 Answer Hello David. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the icemaker 4317943 in the unit. Read More...

John C. October 29, 2012 for Model Number W10190935 Ice Maker Module I took the dial off the ice maker. Now it just keeps moving the ice remover rod. How do I put the dial back on correctly?
1 Answer Hello John, The dial is not designed to be removed. As per the manufacturer, if this part is dis-assembled, the motor module W10190935 will require replacement since this part "times" the ice maker. If it is ever removed, it opens the possibility of the ice maker overfilling and causing water damage to the home. Read More...
Rob October 02, 2012 for Model Number KSRS22DWAL00 I replaced the dual inlet water valve and made sure lines were not frozen and still have no water going to the ice maker or water dispenser. What else could it be?
1 Answer Hello Rob. You need to look for a bad or broke wire on the unit. If none is found, you will need to test and see if there is power coming to the water valve and make sure the water is working coming to the water valve. Read More...
Rob September 27, 2012 for Model Number KSRS22DWAL00 After replacing the dual-valve water valve and unhooking the lines coming out, my water is still not coming out so it's not frozen lines. Could it be the ice-maker control module? What else could it be?
1 Answer Rob, Yes, you may have a "bad" contact in the control module W10190935, or a broken wire between the ice maker and the fill valve. We'll send you some information that should be helpful. Read More...
Rob September 27, 2012 for Model Number KSRS22DWAL00 The water to my ice maker and water dispenser quit working. I replaced the dual-valve inlet part #4318046. The water is still not working. When i press the lever to ask for water, I hear a click like it's trying to work, but nothing comes out. Do I need to replace the module (pump) or could it be another problem like frozen lines?
1 Answer Hello Rob. Unhook the water line from the bottom of the valve and then see if water comes out of the valve when you call for it. If so, you have a frozen line and will need to thaw out the line to repair the unit. It can be in the freezer door or maybe in the water tank inside the unit. Read More...
Mike September 24, 2012 for Model Number 106.56576400 Ice maker doesn't work. Optics seem to work based on simple test. I jumped the connecters in the back of the fridge (valves). Pressing the water dispenser caused water to flow into maker. Water froze in tray but wouldn't eject. Was ready to buy ice maker kit but then i see about a control module? Pretty sure it's not the valve. So what's my issue?
