Johnson September 06, 2012 for Model Number AP4359694 My icemaker stopped working. I replaced it with part AP4359694 control module that was in March 2011 now I am having the same problem.. Would there be a different root cause for the problem. Some other part that is breaking the control module?
1 Answer Johnson, There are several, You could have a weak, intermittent mold heater, causing the motor to be overworked , freezer temperature could be too cold (reccomended freezer temp. is 3 to 5 dgrs. F.) causing Hard, "flash frozen" cubes. The cubes could be too large(there should be 1/8 to 1/4 " clearance between the water level and the top of the ice cube mold. Jeff H. August 20, 2012 for Model Number KSCS25INSS00 I need the large plastic gear on the motor and the D shaped female piece on the inside that the plastic gear attaches to. Both sheared off, the ejector arm is fine and the motor appears ok. Are they avail separately, or do I need to purchase a new motor assembly? Thanks. Jeff

Dennis B August 09, 2012 for Model Number 106.53652300 The ice maker has quit working . There is no water coming into the tray, but the pressure seems to be ok. I haven't checked the solenoid ,but one thing I have noticed is that you can't see the ejection fingers. Does that mean the ice maker needs to be replaced? If so, don't see the complete ice maker , just a control module with motor. Any help you can give me would be appreciated

Wynn July 26, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore 10658282892 Hi my ice maker has been making ice sporadically fora while so I started by swapping the leads on the water valve and when I push the water in the door it filled the ice tray. so then I checked the leads that go to the ice maker water valve and cycle the ice maker by jumping the T & H I got 120v for 5-6 seconds at the water valve.But when it's all put back together it doesn't fill with water when it cycle's. I also tried jumping V & L and the water valve turns on I installed a whole new ice maker AP2984633 (4317943)what to do next? Thanks Wynn

As long as you installed the "bail" arm properly, and did not disturb the mold thermostat, there should be no issue with the synchronization of the ice maker, basically it's a mechanical timer. John D July 21, 2012 for Model Number KSRS22QAAL21 Hi, Our ice maker stopped working in our KitchenAid side-by side. The ice eventually forms one huge mass that must melt and re-solidify around the auger. Good seal at dispenser flap. Freezer at appropriate temperature. Took cover off the module and ice was caked on bottom of module face. Thawed with blow dryer and water was dripping out from inside the module. Shorted T and H with piece of wire and ice maker bar down. No movement of anything. So confused. Is it a crack in my mold? Mold heater not working? Module shot? Dead motor? Please help if you can! Handybutlost July 19, 2012 for Model Number W0190935 I have a Kenmore Elite side-by-side unit, and the ice maker has stopped cycling. This happened about 1 year ago, and I replaced the motor - it successfully functioned for a year, but just stopped again. I ordered another motor to see if this would solve the problem, but the new motor will not cycle either. Still have water dispensing - but the ice maker is not cycling at all. I do not know what to try next?
1 Answer Hello Handybutlost. If the icemaker does not cycle, but the module is new, and there is power to it, you will need to order and replace the complete icemaker assembly for the unit. Keith July 12, 2012 I bought Part Number: AP4359694 to fix my icemaker, but I can't figure out how to remove the current arm from the old module without breaking the white plastic part. Is there a description of how to install this part or a few pictures?
1 Answer Hello Keith, Using a small screwdriver, pry the bale arm out of the control module end of the ice maker, (it just slides in with a little force so it won't fall out).
