Dennis August 31, 2020 for Model Number My refrigerator WRX735SDBM00 My icemaker not making ice, Water dispenser is ok. New water filter, Measured the water inlet valve one side 185 and other side 240 ohms, try to test valve with water running but DMM not properly reading (How can I test the valve it should be between 500 to 1500 ohms), I want to make sure before I order ice maker AP6037857. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Dennis, if you are having meter problems a quick test is at the double water valve switch the wires yellow and tan at the double water valve, then press for water dispense, (what you are doing is powering the ice maker fill valve with the water dispense wire) if you get water into the ice maker then the valve and tubing are ok , replace the ice maker at that point. Mike August 11, 2020 for Model Number Whirlpool Model # MFX2570AEW4 I ran my water filter too long and it stopped sending water to the Ice Maker. I changed the filter out and ran the water in the door till it ran without surging or bubbles. Never had a great flow with it. Waited 1 day for ice with no joy. Now I just get 5-6 ice cubes a day. Ice maker # W10364659 I tried to jump the L & V and got no water coming out into the icemaker. Door water will work, just no Ice! Any help? Thanks, Mike
1 Answer Mike, you can test the valve for 120v when calling for water. If the is no voltage replace the ice maker W10882923. If you have voltage check to see if water is passing through the valve check the lines for blockage (like ice buildup), if not replace the valve WPW10498990. Read More...

1 Answer Harry, If water is leaking around the tubes going to the water valve then they are probably not inserted all the way. Push in really hard then pull back to make sure they are locked in. Read More...
Jj June 30, 2020 for Model Number maytag MFI2665XEM7 Water drips from ice maker into the holder during a fill or while filling after a batch of ice is made. What could cause this? Need a new ice maker?
1 Answer JJ, Based on the information provided I would check the fill cup for obstructions and that it is in place in the fill cup. If this is all good then check for overfilling and if so replace the ice maker assembly. W10882923 Read More...

Monte May 24, 2020 for Model Number WRX735S-DBMOO My icemaker was working fine until I decided to put in a filter. I had been using the plug instead of a filter. Well, after I replaced the plug with the filter, there was a tapping noise, sort of like a woodpecker. Then my ice was all wet,and everything completely froze, including the icemaker and everything in the ice cube holder(box?). We could not get ice...just water. I took out the water filter and put the plug back in. It helped a little...we got some ice for a few hours, but the next morning there was water all over the floor in front of the fridge. Also, the tapping noise was gone after I replaced the filter with the plug. What part do I need? Valve? Icemaker? I need help!
1 Answer Hello Monte, the bypass valve in the filter head is faulty, it is part of the filter head/chiller tank assembly part W11346622. Read More...
