Is there anything that needs to be done to the grills or rock for a Jenn-Air grilling unit before the first use?

Hello Hautean! Nothing has to be done to the rock before the first use. If you want with the grill, you can wipe them down with a cloth and warm water to clean any debris or dust off. Thanks.

Will your Whirlpool #AP 4290230 knob fit my older Jenn Air C300 cooktop? There are 4 for one area of the cooktop and 3 for unit(s) on the far right hand side, 2 of which appear to require the same knobs as the other 4, yet the 3rd (to the right of the 2 regular ones) one doesn't have a CIRCLE around it and it has one screw on the right and one screw on the left. What knob # would fit that one? I do not have the old knobs as a reference. They were tossed during a recent renovation.

Sandy, the burner control knobs are part number WPY700854. The timer knob is part number WPY703663. The fan switch 12001130 is no longer available. Thank you for your inquiry.

I am looking for new knobs for the cooktop and have been told they are no longer made for my model. Is there a substitute that will work? The under side has a "D" formation. The current knobs are black plastic and the numbers are wearing off. Thank you for your help.

I ordered a set of 4, Y700854. they fit the shaft, only the 'D' fit was 1/4 turn off. Instead of being in the off position, it was on 8. Can the D shape on the knob be rotated? D Or, how can I order knobs that go on a backward D shaft with the off position straight up?

Hello Gary! The shaft can not be rotated. The only other knob suggested for your appliance other than the knob kit is part number Y702442. Thanks!

for reasons I don't know I have 3 switches D stem (split D) D with a split down the center, and one is a square shape which I think you call double flat or figure 8. I plan to buy 4 new switches from you shortly. Do you sell D knobs in the set of 4 kit and do you sell double flat knobs individually - because you may be recommending to me that I can just buy 4 matching D switches or you may be recommending to me to keep the switches as they are, 3 of D and one of double flat. The double flat is now the right rear, 6" small burner. Thank you in advance
