The Door Latch Assembly is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This assembly secures the washer door during operation, ensuring it remains closed and the washer operates safely. It also signals the washer to begin the wash cycle when the door is properly latched.

Over time, door latch assemblies can wear out or become damaged due to frequent use, exposure to moisture, or accidental impacts. A faulty latch may prevent the washer from starting or cause it to stop mid-cycle.

Symptoms of a bad door latch assembly include:

  • The washer not starting or responding
  • The door not locking or unlocking properly
  • Error codes related to door latch issues
  • The washer stopping mid-cycle

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Devon, There are a couple of things you need to check before you replace the CCU WPW10180782 again. Disconnect the air tube from the pressure switch, and blow in the end of the hose, to make sure the tube is clear, make sure the harness connector is properly seated on the contact terminals on the switch. Make sure you recheck and make sure the wire connections on the door latch and at the CCU are properly seated and attached to the terminal/ connector. If all's OK, then replace the CCU.
