Grinch for Model Number WFW94HEXW2 My washer is throwing F6/E1 , F6 E2 (sometimes). Done majority of the tests that corresponds to the isolating a fault. When running the diagnostics mode it will not go beyond C00. The actuator engages the doorlock and I can hear that the CCU relay keeps opening and closing. I'm measuring a +5Vdc across the MCU comm terminals, etc. But the relay opening and closing multiple times is what concerns me. I will say that when my wife had called letting me know what happened and arrived I could smell a faint odor of something "frying" in the CCU. Before taking the plunge just based on odor I'd like to think the relay opening and closing would be the better isolation that it may have become faulty which leaves me with 2 options. Find the item and resolder or purchase a new CCU.
Answer Hello Grinch, The possibility of finding a poor solder connection on the board is remote. It is more likely that the EEPROM or one of the capacitors on the board has failed. Since the controls are coated with a moisture resistance material, it is normally not possible to solder on these boards. From the description, it sounds like you will have to replace the CCU W10427967. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, February 5, 2015
