Whirlpool W11594027 Light Socket Assembly OEM Part

I ordered a new socket and replaced the socket and now we have a light in the oven. The project took about 10 minutes and was easy done.

I called appliance parts pros and told them my oven's model number and they quickly identified the part. However, I had to purchase the whole socket light fixture becausr the lens itself cannot be purchased individually. The part came 2 days after I ordered it and with a simple screw in, my oven light is covered again.

Ordered the correct parts from Appliance Parts Plus from the easy to use website. Parts came quickly and packaged well. After watching the How-to videos on the website, installation was quick and easy! I probably would have struggled with the repairs without the videos. Determined that the Ignitor for the bake was an Open circuit so that the gas solenoid would not open, nor would the ignitor heat. Replace the ignitor and bake mode was working fine. Replaced both bulbs with new one and still no light. Checked the sockets and found each to be corroded on the Neutral side. Replace both and now everything works fine.

Turned off the power to the oven and with a screwdriver to remove the clips that hold in the light socket i was able to push back the locking clips and remove the old light socket removed the wires from the back of the socket . Hooked up the wires to the new socket and pushed it back into the oven wall. Job done
