Bernie, The LED light going out will not have an effect on the unit cooling. The LED WPW10515057 would be the most likely cause of this issue.

Nancy for Model Number WRS335FDDM01

The main light went out (WPW10515058) about a year ago. We replaced that part and all started working again. It just went out again, and we replaced it a second time and then discovered the freezer light flickering - and it went out shortly thereafter. We unplugged the refrigerator and removed the freezer light (WPW10515057) and plugged the refrigerator back in and none of the lights worked. We assumed that was because a part was missing. When the part arrived, we again unplugged the refrigerator and installed the new light in the freezer. We've plugged it back in, but now none of the lights work.

Hello Nancy, the LED light module in the ceiling of the ref is the master module, meaning it powers (120vac to 14vdc), its internal LED lights, and also the other module behind the crisper and the module in the freezer. If the freezer module was failing it may have damaged the Master module, it is part WPW10515058.

Joe for Model Number WRS325FDAW04

Good Morning and thank you for this opportunity to ask a question . I have just noticed that my 2.5 year old side by side has a light problem. It seems the lights in the refrigerator section are dim and the light in the freezer is out. 1. Are the refrigerator and freezer lights interconnected somehow? 2. If so, will replacing one or the other correct both issues? 3. Are these part numbers correct: Part# for freezer light and lower fridge light is WPW10515057 and for the upper fridge light it is WPW10515058? 4. How likely is it that that the freezer light switch is bad? Thanks again for your time Joe

Joe, We are sending you a tech sheet to check voltages on your lights. They are in series that means you have power going in and out of each light feeding the next light. Look on the right hand side of the schematic and find the voltage test diamond led test. The refrigerator has 120 vac coming in and 12 vdc coming out and all the other lights will be dc current.

Roger, it is recommended that the freezer light is tested for 12VDC from pin 1 (red probe) to pin 2 (black probe) at the wire connection. If it is receiving 12VDC, the freezer LED WPW10515057 has failed and would need to be replaced.

Jeffrey, the top refrigerator light WPW10515058 will need to be tested for 120VAC at terminal L. If there is a full 120VAC, then the two-wire connector on the other side will need to be tested for 12-14VDC. If there is not a full 120VAC, the incoming power to the refrigerator will need to be tested for 120VAC. If there is not 12-14VDC, but there is 120VAC, then the light has failed. If there is 12-14VDC, then the lower refrigerator light WPW10515057 and the freezer light WPW10515057 will need to be tested for 12-14VDC and inspected for any failed LED bulbs. If there is a failed LED bulb, that light would need to be changed out. If there is a fluctuating DC voltage at the lower refrigerator light, the freezer light would need to be replaced. If there is not a fluctuating DC voltage, and voltage tests good, then the likely issue would be the lower refrigerator light.
