Jeffrey February 05, 2020 for Model Number Kenmore 10651123211 Both the freezer and refrigerator side lights are very dim almost all the way out, but not all the way. What is the issue?
1 Answer Jeffrey, the top refrigerator light WPW10515058 will need to be tested for 120VAC at terminal L. If there is a full 120VAC, then the two-wire connector on the other side will need to be tested for 12-14VDC. If there is not a full 120VAC, the incoming power to the refrigerator will need to be tested for 120VAC. If there is not 12-14VDC, but there is 120VAC, then the light has failed. If there is 12-14VDC, then the lower refrigerator light WPW10515057 and the freezer light WPW10515057 will need to be tested for 12-14VDC and inspected for any failed LED bulbs. If there is a failed LED bulb, that light would need to be changed out. If there is a fluctuating DC voltage at the lower refrigerator light, the freezer light would need to be replaced. If there is not a fluctuating DC voltage, and voltage tests good, then the likely issue would be the lower refrigerator light. Read More...
Gregory December 29, 2019 for Model Number KitchenAid KBSN608ESS00 Kitchen Aid 48" side by side purchased in 2017. All LEDs in freezer strobing. Only top left side LED in frig is strobing. Others are normal. LEDs are 2 1/2" by 1 3/4" with trim. Part number WPW10515058 not compatible with my model. What do you suggest?
1 Answer Gregory, commonly a strobing LED set that runs in the same circuit is going to indicate that one of the LEDs W11683242 have shorted out. If one of the freezer LEDs are not operating at all, then this would be what is causing the strobing. The aurora light control board W10830288 can also be tested at connection J2 pin 3 (red probe of meter) to pin 4 (black probe of meter) and it should measure 12-14VDC with the door open. If the voltage is not constant, or is not 12-14VDC, then the aurora board would need to be replaced. Read More...
Colleen August 10, 2019 for Model Number WRS325FDAM04 First light in freezer went out which is wpw10515057. Next day both lights in refrigerator went out. As my husband was removing light behind crisper draw he accidently touched wire and got jolt and lights flickered on since he completed connection. So he knew one light is bad and unplugged refrigerator next time.He could not remove light at top refrigerator. I assume it's led light wpw10515058. Does one light control the whole circuit and how do we figure out which light is faulty?
1 Answer Hello Collen, the led lights are in a series circuit, the top led light in the fresh food ceiling is the master module. There is 120v going to it with the yellow to white wires, internally it converts the 120v to low voltage about 14vdc and powers its led light and there are red and yellow/red wires that link the low voltage output to the other fresh food led light on the lower rear wall of the fresh food and then to the led light in the freezer, all light modules have to be connected and working for the led lights to work .If the freezer led light went out first its the faulty light module. All the led light modules use clips to hold in the liner, the clips are about 1-2 inches in on the long side, use a putty knife to wedge in and press in the clips. Read More...
Leonid July 28, 2019 for Model Number 106.51793411 What is the difference between installation of W10515057 and WPW10515057? They suppose to be compatable but W10515057 has only one connection instead two in WPW10515057.
1 Answer Hello Leonid, the 2 Led Light modules W10515057,WPW10515057 WPW10515057 you have listed are identical parts, both have one plug-in wire connector, and are used in the freezer and lower rear of the fresh food section, part WPW10515058 WPW10515058 has 2 wire connectors and is located in the top of the fresh food section ceiling.. Darlene June 17, 2019 for Model Number WRS325FDAW01 My light in refrigerator and freezer were working intermittently so I ordered a new switch and had it installed. The lights worked for a few times opening the door and now they will not come on at all. Could I have gotten a faulty switch.
Ruben March 18, 2019 for Model Number WRS322FDAM04 The led lights are dim in both the freezer and fridge section. Based on the reading, I ordered part, WPW10515058 on 11/2018. After replacing this part with the new one, I have the same results. Note that I have not measured anything for correct voltages. I now come to realize that the fridge section has another LED module on the bottom of the fridge that does not turn on at all. I somehow missed this light and only noticed that the ones that were dim and not the one that did not light up at all. My question, does this mean that I need to replace led module located at the bottom of the fridge with part # WPW10515057?
1 Answer Ruben, more than likely the lower light [WPW10515057] in the refrigerator section has a short and is causing the issue. Read More...
Dmitry February 23, 2019 for Model Number WRS322FDAW04 Hi. Light inside the freezer (LED) does not light up and light inside the main cabin is dim when turned on. I tried unplugging the light in the freezer for about a minute. After reconnecting, both light came back on normally but only for one cycle. Once I closed and opened the doors it went back to the way it was. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Dmitry, you will want to test the freezer light for incoming voltage. If you test from the grey wire with a red meter probe and the yellow/red wire with the black meter probe, you should read between 11 to 14 VDC. If you show this voltage on the meter, then you have a bad freezer light [WPW10515057] and it is not allowing for a complete circuit for the other lights to operate properly. Read More...
John February 16, 2019 for Model Number WRS322FDAW04 not all led bulbs are lite in ref. portion and only 1 bulb is lite in freezer portion thanks
1 Answer John, If there is only portions of the leds in each section working then this would be faulty LED light boards that will need replaced. Read More...
Jean October 26, 2018 for Model Number WRS342FIAW02 Hi. We are having trouble with the lights in our refrigerator and freezer. They are just barely flickering and are putting out hardly any light at all. Can you tell me which part I should order to fix this issue? Thanks
1 Answer Jean, Your top refrigerator has a led inverter board in it and all the other lights are supplied voltage from this light. ON your main control you can test at p3 connector pins p3-1 to p2-4 for 120 vac to led light. If you have this voltage then the control is doing its job and the issue is in the primary light.WPW10515058 Read More...
Trish October 07, 2018 for Model Number WRS322FDAM02 Because of strobing lights on both fridge and freezer sides, I purchased part WPW10515058. This did not solve the issue. What is part WPW10515057 and do I need this instead or also??
1 Answer Trish, Normally the issue will be with the WPW10515058 but could be an issue with the other LED WPW10515057. Read More...
