Bing May 10, 2020 for Model Number WRS325FDAM04 Got the refrigerator new in Aug 2017. after 2 years, the upper LED in refrigerator side became dim then went off. Then the lower one did the same. after sometime the freezer LED went off too. A serviceman replaced the three LED and the wire set on the freezer side, did not work. I was told it is wire issue in cabinet and is non repairable. After two months, when opining the refrigerator door, the two LED light up. the freezer LED also light up. However, when I open the refrigerator door again, the three LED became strobes. What is the problem and what should I do next. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bing, the 3 LED light modules form a series circuit. Any problem with one of them affects all of them. The fresh food top LED is the master module and converts the incoming 120vac from the door switches into low voltage, 14vdc, that power the other 2 modules. If all 3 modules were replaced and still not working correctly there may indeed be a wire problem in the cabinet that connects them. That being said you can check the wire connections by unplugging ref from power and unmount the modules and check the wire connections at the modules, A poor or barely connected wire anywhere will cause the strobing effect. Kelly May 08, 2020 Hi, all of my lights have gone out in my Whirlpool refrigerator. I replaced the freezer W10515057 led and it fixed all the lights in both the freezer and refrigerator but only for a short time. After opening the doors 3 or 4 times, all the lights started strobing and or flashing. Will I need to replace the W10515057 and the W10515058 on the refrigerator side now? Thanks.

1 Answer Jesus, the top refrigerator light WPW10515058 would need to be tested for DC voltage from the red wire (red meter probe) to the yellow (with red stripe) wire (black meter probe). With the door open, there should be a constant 12VDC. If there is not, the top refrigerator light would need to be replaced. If there is, the next step would be testing the freezer light WPW10515057 for 12VDC from the gray wire (red meter probe) to the yellow wire (black meter probe). If there is 12VDC, the failure is going to be in the freezer light since it would be receiving proper voltage from the lower refrigerator light WPW10515057. 1 Answer KB, based on the information provided it would appear that there is a short either in the wires or in one of the light assemblies. The freezer light will need to be tested for 11-14VDC from the grey wire (red probe of the meter) to the yellow/red wire (black probe of the meter). If there is 12VDC, the freezer light WPW10515057 has shorted and would need to be replaced. If there is not 12VDC, the lower refrigerator light WPW10515057 would need to be tested from the red wire (red probe of the meter) to the grey wire (black probe of the meter) for 11-14VDC. If there is not voltage there, the top refrigerator light WPW10515058 would need to be tested for 120VAC from the yellow wire to the white wire, and for 11-14VDC from the red wire (red probe of the meter) to the yellow/red wire (black probe of the meter). Bing February 28, 2020 for Model Number WRS325FDAM04 Top LED in refrigerator became light up/dim/light off for several weeks then totally dead. After sometime the lower LED did the same. After two to three weeks LED in freezer went off. A local serviceman replaced the top LED, it light up, replace LED in freezer, did not work and the top one in refrigerator also off. Replace all the three with new ones still did not work but at mid night, I saw all of three dim. Replace the wire set on the back of ice maker, did not work.
