What would cause the lights in the fridge and the freezer to be super dim, at the same time? This is a sporadic problem that started a week ago.

My refrigerator side is super DIM and the freezer doesn't work at all. I've seen the same exact issues here and was wondering if there is a common solution/parts that need to be replaced. Donna August 05, 2019 My mom has a Maytag 23 cubic foot refrigerator and both of the ceiling lights went out in the freezer and fridge. 1 Answer Teri, you may want to test the refrigerator light switch WP2149705 and freezer light switch W11457217 for proper operation. To test the refrigerator light switch, with the power disconnected from the unit, the switch would be tested for continuity while not pressed in. If the switch does not have continuity, it has failed. The freezer switch will be tested for continuity from terminal 1 to terminal 2 while not being pressed in and should have continuity here as well. If the switches test good, then it would be likely that there is a wiring issue in the light circuit and would need to be tested for breaks in the wiring. Read More...
Corey July 21, 2019 for Model Number WRS325FDAM04 When this fridge/freezer was about one nine months old, the led lighting in the freezer went out. I ignored it for quite some time, but lately, it has really bothered me. I disconnected the led circuit board, in the freezer, and checked the voltage across the two leads. I was expecting between 11-14VDC, but I only got 5.4VDC. I don’t have a schematic of the lights, so I don’t know what feeds this circuit. Could you sent one to me, or tell me which part is most likely to be causing this issue? Thanks!

Cory July 12, 2019 for Model Number wrs325fdam04 I have 2 dim refrigerator lights and no freezer light. I've read two responses to this, one to replace the LED module and the other to replace the freezer light in order for all 3 lights to work properly. Looking for clarification. I have ordered the LED module wpw10515058 and the lights came on bright for about 5 seconds then turned off. i put the old module back in and now dim again with no freezer light. Do you have any suggestion?
1 Answer Cory, based on the description of what is occurring, the most likely issue is that there is a short in the lights. More than likely the issue is going to be in the freezer light WPW10515057, and this can be tested by testing for 11-14 VDC from the grey wire with the red probe of a meter, to the yellow/red wire with the black probe.
