Hello Jim. This is what the manufacturer suggest for this code. Possible Causes • Check door switch operation. Faulty switch may interfere with power to MCU. • Check drive system for worn or faulty components. • Verify continuity in cable between CCU (MI3 & MS2) and MCU.

Aaron, Once you go into the service diagnostic mode you will want to wait about a minute before entering the quick diagnostic mode. The reason is that if you enter the quick diagnostic to quickly after entering service diagnostics then it will not runt the quick diagnostics.

Tim for Model Number WFW94HEXW2

Hi, My washer stopped during a load displaying the F06 E01 error code. Walking through the tech sheet tests, all connectors seem fine. There was continuity between all wires from the CCU to MCU and the CCU puts out 120v and the MCU reads 120v in when it tries to turn the drum. I replaced the MCU. The machine then still failed to run and displayed an F01 E02 error. This seemed to imply a DOA MCU board, so I replaced it again. Machine went back to F06 E01 error. Then decided it might be the CCU, so replaced that. Still same behavior. After talking with one of your techs, we decided the stator was most likely culprit. Just replaced that, and still same behavior. So machine has new MCU, CCU, and stator, and still displays same error messages. Going through diagnostics, the machine does everything else fine, runs water, drains water, runs the dispenser, but won't turn the drum. When it tries to engage the drum, such as at the C05 step in diagnostics, you hear the CCU click, you hear the stator hum, and you can feel the humming vibration in the rotor, but the drum won't turn. Just to clarify, the drum is completely free turning by hand, and the rotor visually checks out fine. All magnets are in place and there is no damage to it. I also took apart the hose to the pressure switch and made sure it was clear and I can blow through it easily. I have also checked for continuity between CCU and UI board and that is fine. All panel controls operate fine. I am completely stumped. I talked with one of your techs on the phone and they were stumped and suggested posting this question. Help please! Thanks.

Ray, This issue would be a communication error between the User interface tot he central control unit. You will want to verify continuity between the CCU UI7 and UI(C2). Check ac and dc supplies. These things will be on the tech sheet and would give you some test that you can perform to see which component has failed.

Paul, If the unit is agitating without filling then you will want to check the pressure hose to make sure that it is not clogged. If the unit is not filling and doing nothing else then you will want to check to see if power is going to the water valve. If there is power to the water valve then you will need to check the screens on the valve to make sure they are not clogged. Also check the main water supply for the unit to make sure that it is turned on and not clogged. If this checks ok and there is power to the valve then the valve is faulty and would need to be replaced.
