Jeff October 16, 2011 for Model Number KHMS155LSS4 Microwave started beeping on its own. Then f2 error code came up. Now panel is completely dead (no clock, lights, etc.). Is microcomputer the logical part to replace? We've plugged and unplugged it several times since it first started beeping randomly and displaying error f2. We kept using until it is now completely non-operational.
1 Answer Hello Jeff. Based on the error code you provided, it sounds like the microcomputer WP8169733 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Bob P. September 28, 2011 for Model Number khms155lss-3 I replaced the keyboard as you originally suggested and still have the problem with the lights not going on high. Any other suggestions? And what does error message hm575 mean? Thanks again, Bob
1 Answer Hello Bob. It sounds like the humidity sensor 8206446 may be bad. The reading your getting is the sensor reading. 1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power. 2. Remove the 3-pin connector from PCBA (P2). NOTE: Do not remove the attached resistor which is used for internal resistance calibration. 3. Measure resistance across pins 1 & 3, and across pins 2 & 3 (ohmmeter scale: Rx1k): Normal: 2.8k ohms (approximate) at 77ºF +/- 18ºF (25ºC +/- 10ºC) Abnormal: Infinite. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Bob P. September 17, 2011 for Model Number khms155lss-3 My wife was boiling water on the stove top while making preserves, so it was for quite a while. When she was done the microwave started cycling on and off. It was unplugged overnight and appears to be working except for the light which won't go on on high. Replaced bulbs and still n/g. Ran diagnostic and got error message hm575 for the easy simmer buton. Any ideas?

Alex June 16, 2011 for Model Number khms155lss-3 I ran the test and the "8" didn't display. So it looks like the control panel need to be replaced, part AP4512484. How do I remove the old to replace? Is there a guide somewhere that can walk me through it? Are my findings corrrect?
1 Answer Hi Alex. Please investigate, then remove the (usually) 3- screws on top of the cabinet at the front, that holds the grill- vent cover assembly in place. That part # is 8184608 for black, and 8183948for white in case you need them. Then you will see the screw on top of the control panel assembly that you remove. Then the Panel will lift up approx. 1/4" and pull forward. Please make sure that the unit circuit breaker is off, or the unit unplugged for safety issues/ concerns. The control panel part #W10306627. Jim March 21, 2011 for Model Number khms155lss4 Unit comes on in PAN for 2.5 min and contiues until time is up, and then tries to come on again. Any thoughts on what part is bad?
1 Answer Hello Jim. The control panel W10306627 could have a stuck button. Here is a test we can perform to determine this. Hope this helps. Touch Panel and Electronic Control Test The microwave hood combination is provided with a self-diagnostic routine that can be accessed through the touch keypad. To initiate this routine: 1. Press and hold CANCEL/OFF while opening the door. While still holding the CANCEL/OFF button, unplug the microwave oven for 2 seconds, then plug it back in. 2. Release the CANCEL/OFF button and close the door. 3. After pressing each button on the control panel, “8” will appear in the display to indicate that the circuits are complete and all relays are working. NOTE: If the CANCEL/OFF button is pressed during this diagnostic routine, you will exit the test mode. Read More...
