Hello Karen. Test for a bad control board or a bad spark module on the unit. Test for power from the control board to the spark module and if the igniters in the oven are working then those 2 parts are good. If they are good, you will test the gas valve in the unit. Check between each solenoid for 216 O resistance (Broil terminal to Common, and Bake terminal to Common). NOTE: Always check both solenoids. If one of the solenoids is defective, neither one will operate.

Aliene, If the cooling light is staying on and there is no response from the control board then this would be caused by a faulty board and not the spark module.

Gene, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty spark module which would need to be replaced.

Patrick, The gas valve solenoid resistance(s) are in range. With the top burners working fine, that pretty much puts the issue in the DSI Spark Module WPW10331686, the oven re ignition circuit is weak or has failed "under a load".

Paul, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a bad safety valve. You will want to check the coils on the valve for resistance. The resistance value from either of the outer terminals to the center terminal should be 216 ohms at room temp. It does sound like when the coils heat up they cut out and have to wait to cool down for restart.

Hello JGianfala. It sounds like the control WP8524252 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Limbsitter, Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Mark, You will want to check to make sure that the spark module is getting 120 vac to it. The pins that you would test would be from pin 10 which is L1 to pin number 4 which is neutral. If you have power to this point then you need to replace the spark module WPW10331686. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Sherry, You will want to check to make sure that the coils on the safety valve are not bad. You would want to do a resistance check on the coils between bake and common. Common is the center terminal. If the resistance values are not 216 ohms then the valve is faulty and would need to be replaced. You could also put an amp meter on the igniter and check to make sure that it is getting 3.2 to 3.6 amps. If the unit is not getting proper amperage then the igniter would need to be replaced.

John, If the J1-1 to J1-2 is showing as an open circuit then the safety valve is faulty on the bake side. You will want to check for amperage on the broil side igniter to make sure that it is getting 3.2 to 3.6 . If not getting proper amps then you will need to replace the igniter.
