Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Evaporator Fan Motor (Part Number: OEM18027990)

Hi Jerry. The evap. fan motor part # WP4389142, is more time consuming than difficult. Shut off unit. Remove the ice bin and dump the ice. Shut off the ice maker. Remove the shelves. Remove the back wall. Then examine the depth of the fan blade as it is in reference to the front panel shroud. The side of the fan blade should be half way out of the shroud (Usually). Follow your model exactly. Then use all mount rubber bushings on the new mount assy. The electrical connectors may have locking tabs on the female side of the connector. User a pick tool to reach in and release the tab lock out of the center hole on the male coil terminal. Then reverse reassembly. Thank You. --
