The Natural Gas Orifice is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool gas dryers. Installed within the dryer burner assembly, it regulates gas fuel flow into the burner.

Common causes relate to natural deposits obstructing the small gas port, as well wear inducing intermittent ignition of flames during many years of laundering cycles.

Symptoms of a failed orifice include:

  • Slow or inefficient drying times and extended cycles
  • Uneven or incomplete drying of loads
  • Changes in flame appearance like higher than normal yellow tips

This is a genuine Whirlpool OEM replacement this part is also compatible with Maytag, Jenn-Air and some Kenmore models.

Martha, Unfortunately with this being a Sears product and they do not list which orifice goes where, we would not be able to assist with the part numbers but you will need just the top burner orifices.

Hello William! You will need to flip the cap on the regulator back to NG to convert the oven over. The right front NG orifice is part number WB28K23, the right rear NG orifice is part number WB28K86, and the two left burner NG orifices is part number WB28K19. Unfortunately, the right rear burner orifice and left rear/left front burner orifices have been discontinued and are no longer available. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer to verify their stock of the discontinued items, without these you will not be able to complete the conversion.

Shawn, There are several parts that will need to be changed to convert back to Nat gas: WP234826 orifice, WP694424 Limiter/cap, WP694423 regulator sleeve, and WP694422 spring. These parts are all associated with the brass cap fitting on the top of the gas valve and must be replaced in order to convert the valve back to Natural Gas and have the valve operate properly. Don't forget to check for possible gas leaks at the valve once the parts are installed and the gas supply is reestablished, you can use a solution of soapy water and a rag or old paint brush to swab the solution on the fittings.
