Tommy August 12, 2020 for Model Number CWE5800ACB I have a Maytag double oven and l am having a problem with the upper oven. The upper oven will only heat up to 80 degrees.The upper heating element comes on and heats up but the lower element is not coming on. l replaced the lower element with no change. 1 Answer Tommy, with the power supply to the wall oven turned off, it would be recommended that the bake circuit is tested at the oven control board. From the yellow wire at the terminal labeled BK to the red double wire labeled DLB, there should be about a 20O resistance seen. Linda H August 02, 2020 for Model Number W132 B I have a 22 year old Jenn Aire 30 inch wall oven. The bake element was only heating to a max of 155 degrees so I replaced it. The oven is still only heating to a max of 190, and now the broiler element is not heating either. Will this sensor kit resolve both element issues? and can I use this kit to replace the sensor in my wall oven? I cannot pull the oven out and work from the rear exterior.

Deb April 22, 2020 for Model Number JER8750AAW My ranged will not unlock after using cleaning cycle ,per call to Jerr-Air after over 3 hrs of cool down till not unlock and they advised to turn off breaker and wait 2 mins. 1 Answer Hello Deb. First you need to test the oven sensor. Turn the power off the the range. Pull it out so you can get behind and remove the rear cover panel to expose the sensor harness and quick connector plug. Inspect the plug, make sure it's not burnt. Disconnect it and using the multimeter (Set to Ohms reading) the resistance of the oven sensor by inserting probes into the plug . A good sensor at room temperature should read approx. 1050-1100 ohms. To open the oven door you need to remove the cooktop. Using the 1/4 inch nut driver take out the screw in the corner under the top on each side above the door. Pull the top forward and rase it. Now you have an access to the door latch assembly. Remove it and open the door. If you need to replace the oven sensor you can do it now. The door latch assembly is no longer available, the same as the control board/clock. The broiling element works fine if you set the oven to broil however. Is this a problem with the temperature sensor or something else?
