Tom, the clicking noise you hear is the start device on the compressor trying to turn the compressor on but is unable to. I would recommend replacing the stat device, the part number is WPW10197428

Sam, In order to connect the overload and relay assembly, there is a tip on one end of the relay. With the relay tip facing down the blue will connect to the right side of the relay. You will then need to cut the connector off the 2 white wires and put a 1/4" female spade connector on the 2 wires. You will then connect this set of wires to the terminal on the left of the tip. Once wired you will install the overload first then you will install the relay which will sit kind of over the relay legs to help hold it in place.

John, If the unit is not cooling but the fans are operating then the first thing to check would be the start relay on the compressor which is the most likely cause for not cooling.

Hello Mike, The red wire is the hot wire which should connect to the overload, (small white component). The white wire is the neutral. It will connect to terminal 2 on the relay. If there is a capacitor, it should connect from terminal 1 to terminal 3 on the relay.
