Hello Martina. That is normal to get hot. It keeps moisture from forming on there from the extreme cold of the compartments. As long as the condenser fan is running and the coils are clean, you should be fine.

Hello Edward, If the compressor is not running you will most likely need to replace the start device 8201786 or the thermostat WP2198202 if no voltage is being sent to the compressor. If the compressor is running you will need to check the rear wall of the freezer for a frost build-up which indicates a defrost issue.

Hello Paula. If the compressor is clicking on the overload, then it may indicate a failing compressor and you will need to have it replaced. Otherwise, if the overload starter was bad, it would stop cooling.

Hello James. If the humming is from the compressor, then it sounds like the compressor may be on it's way out. It is not the relay. If your unit uses a capacitor, you could try replacing it.
