Steve for Model Number ED5VHEXVB00

I've done quite a few water filter replacements with no problems. Around the time the filter would need replacing a month ago the water almost stopped flowing to the door and ice maker. Removing the filter the water flows in a strong steam. Installing a new filter and the water is back to almost nothing. While I had the filter out I noticed water start to flow from under the front where the filter is inserted. I looked in the area where the filter goes and it was dripping out of one of the inlets. What is the problem? Can the filter be bypassed? If I can bypass, do I need a plug? If I need a plug, is it something I can do myself? Thanks very much!

Steve, This unit does not require a bypass plug for the filter. If the unit is leaking with the filter out and with the filter in there is a flow issue then the filter head is faulty and would need to be replaced.
