Jorge, With the unit making a noise during the drain cycle, you will want to check the drain pump to make sure that there is nothing caught in the impeller of the pump. If this checks ok then make sure that the impeller is not loose from the shaft. This sounds like it could be a drain pump issue since that is when the noise occurs.

Jack for Model Number MLE2000AYW

Washer stops intermttantly during wash cycle. The "on" light will go out stopping the machine then the door lock lite will go out unlocking the door. Opening and closing the tub door and restarting the cycle will cause it to run OK for a while. Sometimes it will shut off a few times during a wash cycle and then sometimes it will complete a full wash cycle normally without any malfunction. Any suggestions will be appreciated that help pinpoint our problem. The occurrence of intermittent operation seems to be increasing. Thanks, Jack

Hello Jack. I would look for loose connections in the unit and check the wires for breaks. Also, if they are good, you may be dealing with a board issue with the unit.
