Randy March 26, 2011 for Model Number KUDP01iLBS0 Drain pump was working on initial startup. After it ran through the cycle,it wouldn't drain the water. Could the hot water be causing the pump blades to expand to the point it won't pump? It was pumping the water when I first started the dishwasher. You could see it draining into the disposal. After running the cycle, it wouldn't drain.
1 Answer Hello Randy. You will need to test and see if your getting power to the pump during the drain cycle. You may have a bad board WP8564543 if it is not sending power to the pump during the cycle. The hot water shouldn't affect the pump operations. Hope this helps. Read More...
Phil March 03, 2011 I have the Whirlpool GU1200XTLB2 and the water is not draining. I have removed all of the assembly in the bottom of the dishwasher to the point of seeing the pump inlet and when I turn it on, the water appears to just churn and will not drain. I have taken the drain tubes off the pump and there are no obstructions. The pump runs noisy like there is something in there. When I had the drain tubes off, I turned the pump on and water did spray out the pump outlet. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Phil, Check the drain hose and make sure it is not clogged or kinked. If it is clear, you may need a new pump. Hope this helps. Read More...
