Br April 05, 2025 for Model Number KDTM404KPS0 The dishwasher will not complete a wash cycle. It stops and beeps 9-1 code, I think. We can hit cancel/drain button after several minutes and it will drain. We replaced the control board, and it is still doing the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
1 Answer Hello BR, thank you for contacting Appliance Parts Pros. If the issue is occurring near the beginning to the middle of the cycle it is likely the water inlet valve AP6987233 or the flow sensor built into the water inlet assembly AP7175478. If this is the case check to make sure that the unit seems to be filling properly, if it does the it is the water inlet assembly, if it is not filling then it is the valve. If the issue is occurring on the back half of the cycle it will be the drain pump AP6977699, the drain check valve AP7194835 allowing backflow into the tub, or improper drain hose installation/connection to the home. Check that the drain hose installation is correct according to the unit's installation instructions. You can also check the drain check valve by disconnecting the drain hose from where it connects to the home and pouring water in it to see if the tub starts to fill. If both of those are good then it is an issue within the drain pump. Read More...
Anuradha November 13, 2024 for Model Number WDF330PAHS0 Dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes. Water flow is ok. Draining of water is ok. Soap is dispensing ok. Temp seems good. Spray wheels not blocked. But upper spray wheel is not spinning.what is the issue.
1 Answer Anuradha, if the water feed tube OEM28782246 does not have any cracks or obstructions, the most likely cause of failure would be the circulation pump OEM28774918. Read More...

Bruce December 29, 2023 for Model Number GU2475XTVB1 I notice a slow drip leak coming from the drain pump while it is operating. No unusual noises coming from the drain motor and pump during the draining process. The O-ring seal seems to be in good shape, but that must be the source of the leak. Can I just replace the O-ring?
1 Answer Bruce, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide the seal separately from the drain pump WPW10348269. Read More...
Andy November 29, 2023 for Model Number 66513042k115 what should the resistance figure be on a good drain pump ?
1 Answer Andy, The resistance should be between 15-25 ohms of resistance. That reading only tells you if the drain pump motor is operating correctly. The impeller part of the pump could be damaged and not moving water. Read More...
Roger October 10, 2023 for Model Number GU2455XTBSO How do you take off the filter to get to the drain pump? Our dishwasher is not draing water after the cycle is done.
1 Answer Roger, You can remove the screws and check the sump for blockages, if no blockages then the drain pump would be accessed from underneath. Read More...
Rover December 01, 2022 for Model Number MDB4409PAW0 Sometime after I ran the dishwasher, I found that it had stopped and was still full of clean water and the dishes appeared to be clean. From the time that elapsed, I figured that it stopped or didn't start during the final drain. None of the buttons appeared to work. No sound, no lights, nothing. I checked the circuit breaker. While the dishwasher was running, I detected a very strange chemical-like odor but no smoke. I figure that, if it were the capacitor, there would be a humming sound when the motor tried to start. No humming. If I replace the drain motor, would the new one come with its own capacitor? The dishwasher is 10 years old.
1 Answer Hello Rover, I would first run the service diagnostics to see if there are any fault codes. This is explained on the tech sheet behind the kick panel. If no codes the issue could be the board W10804114. Read More...
Rex August 15, 2022 for Model Number Kenmore 665-13899K801 Sometimes doesn't drain but cancel/drain does work. Hose is clear. It's not washing very well, Won't even wash off coffee grounds stuck to the door. Sometimes the cycle lights flash from normal cycle to fast rinse and other lights as well after the cycle is complete. Once, we ran it in the evening and did not open it. In the morning, it started to run all by itself. Go figure. Circuit board? Wash pump? Drain pump? thanks
1 Answer Rex, All the complaints sound like a control board. That's the part telling the drain when to drain and determines wash times. If you manually hit the cancel drain and it will drain the water out then that part of the system is fine and its the control not doing its job.WPW10285180 Read More...
Andy March 31, 2022 for Model Number 66513199K902 I have a Kenmore Elite Dishwasher (66513199k902). When the wash cycle finishes there is a substantial amount of water in the entire bottom of the dishwasher. Approximately a 1/2". When I hit the Cancel Drain button the water completely clears. I have replaced the electronic control board and the pump and the problem still occurs. When I hit the cancel drain button I can see the stream of water entering my garbage disposal from the dishwasher so the drain line does not appear to be blocked. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
1 Answer Andy, This issue will most likely be with the water valve not fully shutting off and water flowing into the dishwasher when the unit finishes its cycle. Read More...
Andy March 25, 2022 for Model Number 665.13199K90 My dishwasher does not drain fully. After completing the cycle there is some water (1/2" to 3/4") in the bottom of the dishwasher. This is a new problem. If, after the cycle is complete, I hit the "cancel/drain" button it will fully drain. I have check the hose for clogs and can't find any. Any ideas?
1 Answer Andy, This issue will most likely be caused by a faulty control board since the drain pump does work. Read More...
