David M June 11, 2015 for Model Number Model RSW2400C Ice maker works fine except that the flip gate which opens to let ice out through the door will no longer open. It still makes ice, and the water supply system works well. What part do I need? David M
1 Answer Hello David. You will need to check and see if the solenoid WP67883-3 is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Carlos D December 02, 2013 I have received your answer about the conection in the PTC 8EA14C3. By the fact this relay does not have any terminal behind it, I supose that the number 6 is the same thing as number 3 and number 5 is the same as number 2. Am I correct?
1 Answer Carlos, Yes that is correct. Number 5 would be the same as 2 and 6 would be the same as 3 on the relay. Read More...
Nunzio August 17, 2013 for Model Number Magic Cheff CTB1922ARA Will the relay or overload fix the following situation? The refrigerator and freezer do not cool at all. I hear a click and hum for about 4 seconds but the compressor does not start. The hum stops waits a short time and tries again repeatedly. Thanks.

Gurr April 20, 2013 for Model Number CSB2121ARW I suspect that the start relay on my fridge is the problem. I've checked continuity on the chain starting with the thermostat down to the start relay. The relay is the only item that doesn't match my repair-book specs, in that it runs through the VOM dial briefly & settles on "0". Also when I plug the fridge in and click the screw for the timer to start, the fan runs & then there is a loud "click" sound from the general compressor area and it cycles off & continually tries to start again. Am I on the right track with thinking the relay is the problem? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Gurr, If the start relay rattles when you shake it, it has failed. If your units' serial number begins with 10 or lower, order WP10097204. If you units' serial number begins with 11 or higher, order W10920279. Read More...
Rj May 12, 2012 for Model Number part # 2176806 What is the normal length of time it takes before the PTC relay resistance changes to an almost open circuit? Thanks
1 Answer Hi RJ. The normal trip time for a ptc relay part # WP10097204 is 4-6 seconds. It has a normal resistance value of 3-20 ohms. Thank You. Read More...
Rj May 12, 2012 for Model Number part # 2176806 Can I disconnect from the compressor by just pulling on the part (don't want to break it) ? Also, does part 2183409 (physically above 2176806) plug into the compressor too or does it plug into part 2176806 ? Thanks
1 Answer Hi RJ. Yes generally the ptc relay part # WP10097204 does pull out from the compresor itself. Use a small screwdriver to pry the part out from the side of the compressor. The Overload Item Number: 2183409 pushes onto the compressor single pin first. Then the relay is placed over it holding it tightly on. Thank You. Read More...
Patrick June 08, 2011 for Model Number rt14bkxkq01 My fridge is freezing up gradually in the top mount freezer. The refrigerator doesnt get cold as a result. My question is which part do you think is failing? Are these models notorious for certain parts failure? I'm thinking possibly the relat-ptc, defrost t-stat, or element. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Patrick. You will need to test the defrost heater WP2263749 and thermostat WP4387490. They should read closed for continuity when cold. If they test good, you will need to replace the defrost timer W10822278. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
