Hello William. Make sure the unit is level. If so, you will need to replace your icemaker.

Willie, The normal cause for the fill tube freezing would be a water valve that is seeping and would need to clean out the fill tube and replace the water valve on the unit.

Michael for Model Number Kenmore Fridge 106.55512400

Per the fridge repair technician, my icemaker is leaking water. Since his visit, it is no longer producing ice and the shut-off arm level won't stay in the off position. He indicated I could probably replace icemaker myself, gave me Part Number W10190965, and referred me to your website. However, when I search with the Model number of my fridge (106.55512400), I received Part Number AP2984633. Due to this conflicting information, can you tell me what the correct Part Number to address these issues? Thanks!

Michael, These 2 icemakers would be the same and you would just remove the screws holding this icemaker in place and install it. Both icemakers will work for your unit.

Ok I saw that the coating on the icemaker was coming off so I decided to buy a new unit. Took the old one off and put the new one in and nothing happens. Usually the motor will run and start the process of rotating. I took it off and tried the old one and it didnt work either. I then took a voltmeter and tested the black and white wire in the fridge connection and it was 118.7. I then took the lead that connects to the icemaker and tested the black and white as well, same thing 118.7 volts. I dont understand how the motor on both are not working. Am I missing something???

1 Answer

Hello David. You will need to let the icemaker get cold before it will cycle. This is normal.

Allan, It sounds like the bail arm on the icemaker is not in place properly. You will want to make sure that it is going into the slot on the back of the icemaker module. This will be the most likely issue.

Michael, When replacing a icemaker you will want to allow 24 hours for ice productions but may see ice within about 2 to 4 hours.

Ean for Model Number KSRB25FKSS14

The ice maker has stopped making ice... I have checked water inlet valve for continuity. It reads 325ohms at first, then drops and stays at 225ohms (still within range). I performed the LED light test, and that also checks out good. (Blink blink pause blink blink when door is open. Solid light when door is shut)... At this point I purchased and installed a new ice maker unit. I filled unit with water manually, and it did not pop the ice out or cycle at all. Should I have not manually filled the ice maker? Would that have hindered the unit from its cycle? What should be my next step?
