Larry, When installing a new icemaker the water will not fill right away and you will need to give it at least 1 to 2 hours to get cold enough to cycle and fill with water.

Scott, You will want to check to make sure that the fill tube that comes into the icemaker is not frozen. If the fill tube is frozen then this will cause the unit to not make ice and you will want to clear the ice. If the fill tube is not frozen then using a insulated jumper wire you will want to put the jumper between the T and H and this will put the icemaker into a cycle. After you hear the second click remove the jumper wire. You will then need to check at the water valve to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to the valve when the icemaker fingers rotate to about the 11:30 position.

Hello Kevin, The most likely cause of this would be the water reservoir in the bottom of the fresh food compartment freezing up. You can heat the reservoir with a hair dryer for about 15 minutes and re-try. If this corrects the issue, set the fresh food compartment colder to increase the air circulation which will prevent the cold air from settling to the bottom of the compartment. If this does not correct the issue you should check the switch in the dispenser.

Hello Leo. No, the shut off is located in the supply line coming to the unit. You will need to check your supply line. There is a water valve 218832401 for the icemaker that turns the water off to it.

Hello Pat, Turning the adjustment screw clockwise decreases the water fill. Maximum adjustment is one full turn in either direction. ADDITIONAL ROTATION COULD DAMAGE THE MODULE.

Jenn-Air Fridge... Frozen ice mass is forming in bottom of Ice Bucket making cubes hard to remove. Removal of Rear Panel also reveals large collection of ice in upper RH corner above Evaporator Coil which is also iced-over. There is some thought that the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) #12656019 may be at fault in that it may not be sending proper defrost signal to the Evaporator Coil. May be that the PCB is the culprit rather than the Ice Cube Maker. What's your take on this situation before I order the wrong part?

George, If the ice is near the water fill tube then it would not be a issue of the control board causing this. This would most likely be a frozen fill cup on the icemaker and froze fill tube causing backup and the ice to overflow. This would be more likely an issue of the water valve seeping. If the valve is seeping it will cause water to trickle into fill cup and cause it to flash freeze. This will in turn cause the water to start flowing into the ice bin and the icemaker will not get proper water and will cycle more frequently and cause the effects to intensify.

Riverton, There are two methods of water flow control to an ice maker. The water valve has a 'flow washer" inside the valve body when the valve is produced. this limits the amount of water that can enter and pass through the valve. Then, the ice maker has a "timed fill" increment. the timer motor and cam will "close" when the fill increment is reached this will supply power to the fill valve solenoid for 7 to 10 seconds which allows 4 to 4.5 oz. of water to enter and fill the ice maker mold and start the making of cubes.
