Ron February 13, 2014 for Model Number 10654263300 Hi I purchased a ice maker kit 4317943 yesterday. I did not understand the comment about door with the ice shut to dispense the ice. The wiring harness is on the left side looks like its going through wall of freezer... is this possible? The front control also has a switch that has wires to it for max and min ice. I saw the other option part # 2198597 for the door ice shut...no sure if that is correct with this model and configuration. Can some let me know what you think I need to do. Thanks. ron

1 Answer Hello Diana, The bail arm raises during the cycle and lowers after harvest. If the ice level is high enough to hold the bail arm up, it stops further ice production. John January 17, 2014 for Model Number 106.9550711 Kenmore My ice maker seems to be working fine except when it fills with water, it seems to overflow and water runs into the bin and leaks out through the dispenser. I replaced the water valve with a dual water valve kit and it is still doing the same thing. Do I need to replace the whole ice maker or what do you recommend?
