Ted, Thanks for the question!!! The fill tube having ice buildup is commonly caused by a leaky water valve 2006766, which could also contribute to the overflow.

Dean, Yes, the acceler-Ice will work on this icemaker. You just remove the cover and place the acceler-ice wheel in place of it.

Molly for Model Number ED27DQXAW04

A little over a year ago I purchased the PS2341896 Icemaker Control Assembly to repair my ice maker and it worked for about a year and a half. The maker has since stopped again with a tray full of ice. I melted the ice a bit and the harvester started turning again, but the water line won't fill the tray. I used the wire to test the water valve and it filled when the wire was inserted into the control assembly, but then the harvester stopped again. When I melted the ice enough, the harvester turned and popped the cubes out, but once again the valve won't fill the tray. I don't know if this is an issue with the water valve or if the cubes aren't being warmed enough to be harvested or both? Could you help direct me to what I might need to replace?

Molly, Based on the information provided this sounds like an internal thermostat in the ice maker. This would require the replacement of the ice maker.

David, You will want to check to see if the fill tube is frozen. Whether it is frozen or not you will want to test to make sure that there is 120 Vac to the water valve and if there is then the valve will need to be replaced.

Darrell, We sent you an email for testing the module on your ice maker. Either you are not getting voltage or temps is above 17 degrees. Temp issue could be a dirty condenser or fan issue, even a defrost issue can warm up a freezer to mid 20s. Voltage i believe comes thru the light switch in your freezer. Test points are L and N and should read 120 VAC with light switch pushed in. If you have power at the ice maker then it is a temp problem.
