For Whirlpool Replacement Icemaker (Part Number: OEM12405033)

T.D, Based on the icemaker not shutting off it sounds like the emitter board W11629974 is faulty and not allowing the ice to shut off but continues to allow ice to be made.

Txusmale for Model Number RS22AWXEN01

I just replaced the ice maker. Now the ice maker works, sometimes. It will freeze the water all the way on one cycle then the next cycle it only freezes part way dumping half frozen ice and water. Never had this problem before I replaced it. Also it only fills the ice tray about 1/2 full on some cycles and full on others. Please help! Txusmale for Model Number RS22AWXEN01 Answer Hello Txusmale. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. If so, you will need to replace the icemaker in the unit. Thank you. I just replaced the icemaker, which I bought from appliancepartspros.com maybe a month ago. Could I have gotten a bad unit and if so can I return it for a new one?

Hello Txusmale, This sounds like a defective cycling thermostat in the ice maker assembly. You should call us at 1-877-477-7278 for a return authorization. We will get another one out to you as quickly as possible.

Hello Bob. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Not Handy for Model Number ED25RFXFB01

Two concerns: 1.) new harness doesn't fit 2.) My problem may not be the ice maker, but the water valve. My ice maker has a harness with a removable plug on both ends - on end into the ice maker control box and the other into the back of the freezer. I happened to have a new kit for a Fridgadare used as a basement backup. Having watched your video, I thought that even I could use the Fridgadare kit for my Whirlpool with the malfunctioning ice maker. But the harness plug didn't fil and the control box wiring didn't have a plug. So if I send for the kit, will I get two or three harnesses as the video suggests? I have a S# on the ice maker itself; is that useful in ordering? Finally, the ice maker stopped making ice entirely, but when it had been functioning, it made bot cubes and big blobs. Could that be a valve problem?

Hello. The kit is what you would need to replace the icemaker. As for the overfilling issue, it could be a water valve issue, or it could be the freezer is to cold and the icemaker is cycling to early.

Hello Cece. You will need to order and replace the fountain kit 12001991 in the unit. As for little ice production, make sure the temp in the freezer is between 0 to 5°.
