Ken June 16, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool ET1MTKXKQ00 I have a Whirlpool ET1MTKXKQ00 refrigerator that currently does NOT have an ice maker. The frig looks like one can be added. Will this ice maker work in my fridge? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Ken. There is not a specific icemaker approved for your model. You would need a complete add on unit. Whirlpool has two listed depending on the age of the unit. If it was made between '84-'93 the one you would need is 1129316. If it was made after '93, you would need [AP312234]. I hope this info helps! Read More...

Dean&Dog June 05, 2011 for Model Number mzd2766geb How do I adjust the freezer door for a better fit? I am on a well 35*on 40* off is there an adjustment to let more water in? Cubes are shallow at one end. Last, if a defrost heater has good continuity can the element still be weak?
1 Answer Hello Dean&dog. To adjust the freezer door, you will need to use the hinges and leveling legs. Make sure the unit is level. If not use the screws behind the toe panel to level the refrigerator. You can loosen the screws on the top of the freezer door hinge and move the door if needed. If the unit is not letting in enough water for the icemaker, you can remove the cover from the icemaker. There is a white plastic adjustment screw on the side of the icemaker module. Turn this screw for more or less water. If the heater shows continuity, it is good. The heater does not always glow red. Hope this helps. Read More...
