Dirty Laundry February 01, 2016 for Model Number Maytag performa My washing machine was shaking violently for a long time. I finally replaced the snubber ring and brake lining to stop the squeal. It seemed to work fine at first but now it still shakes violently when on high spin. This washer is 15 years old and has had heavy use. Will new springs fix it or is it gone? Thank you, DL
1 Answer Hello DL. You will need to check the base of the unit and see if it is cracked. If so, it will cause the issue your having. Read More...
Saca_Muela January 24, 2016 for Model Number Maytag model HAV2360AWW I replaced my snubber ring thanks to your awesome video. I even bought the ring from you guys. When I replaced it I placed some corn starch in the area to help lubricate it. Put it all back together and now it's leaking. I am running its with the cabinet open and I can't see anywhere it's coming from. It doesn't look at all like its from the water pump or drain hose or water supply connections. I even tipped the whole machine back and it seemed like the area where the snubber ring is was dry too. It seems like it's leaking from the underside. Underneath the whole machine. Do you think the corn starch kept me from getting a good deal on the snubber ring and it's leaking from there? Is it possible there was some water that just needed to settle from putting everything back and now it's passed through everything will be ok? I've been have some loads go with the cabinet open looking for leaks and I don't see where it could be leaking from but after 2-3 loads I don't really see any leaking any more. Any idea what's happening. What happened? Where do you think the water came from and do you think it's done leaking? Should I pull out the drum and try to tighten the snubber ring some more? Thanks for any help.
1 Answer Saca_Muela, The snubber ring cannot be tightened and would not cause the unit to leak. It is possible that there was some water under the unit from when you pulled the drum out and it just hadnt dried up. Would just continue to monitor if there is any leaking. If you have not seen any leaking then it is probably ok. Read More...

Lou October 21, 2015 for Model Number MAV9501EWW Maytag washer Atlantis, wash cycle doesn't agitate it spins.
1 Answer Hello Lou. You will need to check the brake on the unit first. Make sure it is stopping the inner basket from turning. If it is good, then the motor is not reversing. You will need to check and see if the motor is bad or if the timer is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Rick July 04, 2015 for Model Number MAVT546EWW I had a shaky machine during the rinse cycle, have now changed out the snubber ring and washed a small load. The shaking seems to have lessened but is still there. I have balanced the machine and even redistributed the clothes to see if it made a difference... nothing. I also ran it with no clothes to see and the shaking is minimal but comes then goes away. What else am I missing?
1 Answer Rick, You will want to check the springs that go from the bottom of the tub to the base. If the springs are bad or weak it can cause the same issue that you are experiencing of the shaking. Also if the unit is on a wooden floor it will shake more readily then if it is on a solid surface. Read More...
Mark February 14, 2015 for Model Number PAV2300AWW When it stops to go to spin the motor runs and pumps the water , but no spin . If you turn the drum a little bit it will start after that and spin out the cholthes. And it is making a loud noise, almost sounds like a bearing , and it is loud. That is the only problem. Thanks , for the help.
1 Answer Mark, This issue would most likely be caused by a tub bearing and seal that has gone bad. You will want to check the thrust bearing to make sure that the thrust bearing is not worn and causing the brake to drag but if the sound is a loud roaring type noise then the tub bearing would be the issue.
