Ginger, If there is a humming noise but not dispensing ice and the ice door opens then the issue would most likely be a faulty auger motor.

Hi Jamie. Flush out the ice bin completely with water. Make sure the auger and the crusher blades are not clogged and completely dry upon reinstalling. Make sure the long brass colored round arm that extends on the bottom of the ice bin is fully inserted into the crusher solenoid beside the auger motor. The solenoid is part # WP61005253. Ohm the coils for resistance. Check each terminal individually to the casing to make sure it is not shorted. Change the yoke assy. part # 61005844 both at the same time. If the fountain control command works and the solenoid itself hums then we at least know the control board and wires to the solenoid are ok. Thank You.

Rick, Yes, the shifter solenoid activates the shifter arm, which activates the chopper blades . When cubed ice is selected, the solenoid activates, and allows the bin to dispense cubed ice. When the crushed ice is selected, the solenoid remains inactive and the cubes are forced through the chopper blades abd the cubes get crushed. Check and make sure the end of the shifter arm is mounted to the bin properly and the end of the shaft is inside the "yoke" 61005844 opening of the solenoid assembly, before you replace the parts. Thanks and Good Luck
