Dale November 28, 2016 I suddenly don't have any spark on all 4 burners, the cook top is "mounted" in the counter top so I can not get to a number on it. I did pull the glass top up(broke all but 3 screws) I guess im looking for a spark module. The module gets 124 when I turn the knob but no spark. All 4 burners and oven don't light can still use with Gas Lighter. Was doing electric work and shut off breaker and back on then igniters wouldn't work.
1 Answer Tony, You're dealing with two different type ignition systems. The oven ignition is a "glow bar"/ hot surface ignition system and is a direct link to the ERC or Thermostat, electrically. The top burners use a switch, spark module, and igniter, they have different power supplies(separate wires). You most likely have a damaged wire or terminal block on the back of the range. Steve August 22, 2016 for Model Number JGS8860BDP When I attempt to light the front right burner the gas comes on but there is no spark. If I push in and rotate the adjacent control knob at the exact same time as the right front I get a spark and it lights. I was told it is the spark module. If so, it appears there is only one module. I believe repairmen mentioned there is one for each burner. Is that correct?

Steve June 08, 2016 for Model Number Dacor gc46s I have a 6 burner cooktop that inconsistently lights. The igniter sparks sometimes and doesn't spark other times. the spark module and 1 valve switch got wet recently when a drink was spilled on the cooktop. Do I need to replace the just the spark module, all of the valve switches or some combination of the components? The spark module is a Harper-Wyman Kool Lite Model 6521. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Steve, This is usually caused by spills and can normally be cleared by running a safety pin or small paper clip through the orifices. Cleaning the ignitors with white vinegar and an old toothbrush works well also. If this does not correct the issue you may need to disassemble the unit to clean the metal parts between the unit chassis and the burner bases. These surfaces can be best cleaned with sandpaper. Mark March 07, 2016 for Model Number JDS9860AAW I purchased part 8215557, and read an earlier answer to a question that stated: "The White wire needs to be attached to the 1/4 in. terminal labeled "N" and the Tan or Black wire needs to be attached to the 1/4 in. terminal labeled "L." Unfortunately, the part has no markings whatsoever on or near either of the 1/4 inch terminals. How can I determine which wire to hook to which terminal without those markings?
