Sl October 18, 2018 for Model Number JGD8130ADS Jenn Air 30” gas cooktop One front burner when turned on after awhile will have a little explosion that turns the flame off but the gas is still on. When turning it back on the flames are orange. By turning on another burner, the burner with the issue will go back to blue flames. Second issue is one of the burner knobs unable to turn because there’s solid oil on the bottom. How do we resolve these two issues? Appreciate the help.
1 Answer Sl, For the issue of the knob not turning it sounds likely that the valve would need to be replaced. For the burner that is going out pull the orifices and clean them if this does not correct then replace the valve on that burner. Read More...
Kenneth Norberg July 26, 2018 for Model Number CRG9700AAL I need to purchase 2 new gas tubes with fittings, that go between the front two burners and the gas control valves operated by the knobs on front of stove. Do you have them, or can you tell me where I can buy them? Ken N.
1 Answer Ken, The individual burner gas supply tubes are no longer available from the manufacturer. You will need to order the Orifice Tube Assembly 12001076 / 12001076 and 12001075 12001075. Since the damaged tubes are for the front burners, you will need to order both orifice tube assemblies, this will give you new tubes and fittings for all the burners. Thanks, Read More...
Joe July 03, 2018 for Model Number CGR3740ADL My front 2 burners igniters do not spark but the back 2 do. I have replaced the burners with the new igniters and that didn't work. I swapped the back burners with the front burners and that didn't work either. At 1 point I lit the back burner and the front igniters started to work but I haven't been able to replicate that. Can you help? Is it the spark module that is bad?
Kim January 17, 2018 for Model Number JDG8130ADB I recently purchased two new sealed cartridges (JGA8100ADB) for my Jenn-Air cooktop (jdg8130adb). One of the four igniters wouldn't spark so I switched the igniter for the igniter from my old cartridge and it sparked. I purchased a new igniter to replace the older one and it worked great for a while, now it will not spark. There is gas flow and all 4 burners click when I try to light, just one will not spark. Do I need a new spark modulator, or could there be another problem?
1 Answer Kim, It would be recommended to check the ignition switches on the valves to make sure that they are good. If they check ok then check the wiring between spark module and the burner. If this checks ok then check to make sure that the burner is not dirty and if they check ok then the issue will be a faulty spark module. Read More...
Bob January 16, 2018 for Model Number CSG5600BAL Hello, I have a 1992 Maytag Gas Porcelain Counter Top. I know I need your new Spark Ignition Module. My issue is that I have no idea how to remove just the porcelain top of this unit. I actually can see the module a little bit if I remove the gas control knobs and as I look toward the middle of the control panel and look down in one of the valve entry holes, I can see part of the module to the left of the gas valves. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thank you!
1 Answer Bob, In order to access the spark module you will need to lift the unit out of the cabinet and remove the screws around the perimeter of the cooktop. Read More...
Kevin January 06, 2018 for Model Number MAYTAG MGC5430 When cleaning the control knobs section with control knobs removed, water reached that internal section and caused a fire in 3 of the knob bases. Now only one burner clicks and lights. My cooktop is sealed. Would I need a spark module kit or the harness? How can I reach the parts to replace if my stove is sealed? Thanks.
1 Answer Kevin, For this issue you would need the switches WP74007696 and to replace them you would remove the burner caps and bases and lift the unit out and remove the screws around the perimeter. Read More...

Rick October 28, 2017 for Model Number Maytag LSCG 600 I have a maytag cooktop m/n LSCG 600 and the two left burners don't ingite or even spark. The 2 right burners and griddle ignite fine. Is it the the switches under the control knobs or the igniter. Also I cannot find an igniter that looks like mine in the parts info
1 Answer Rick, For this issue the most likely cause for the burners to not spark or ignite would be a faulty switch behind the control knobs. Read More...
