The Spinner Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. The spinners are responsible for spraying water to effectively clean and rinse dishes. Over time, spinners may wear out or break, impacting performance. If your dishwasher isn't cleaning properly, inspect the spinners first

Causes of a bad Spinner Kit can include mineral buildup from hard water, which may block the water jets, or physical damage to the spinner arms that can occur from loading large or improperly placed dishes.

Symptoms of a failing Spinner Kit include:

  • Dishes remaining dirty or spotted after a wash cycle
  • Water not spraying adequately throughout the dishwasher
  • Unusual noise during the wash cycle as the damaged spinner struggles to rotate
  • Decreased water pressure affecting overall appliance performance

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

For Whirlpool Spinner Kit (Part Number: OEM11327535)

Hello Tom, This part goes in the very top of the unit. The water supply tube will have to be removed to install this part since the part has a snap in retainer that has to be installed through the top of this tube into the spinner.

Hello Ron. You need to check the water level in the unit and make sure it is filling up properly. If not, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit. Usually this issue is caused by low water or clogged filters in the unit.

Susie, it snaps onto the very top of the tub above the upper rack. It's the upper wash arm. There should be a little button that went along with it. If you look at the third picture on the part where you posted your question, you'll see a picture of the button. If it's gone you may have to order a new spinner.

Hello Speed, This is the only part recommended by the manufacturer. Unless the manufacturer comes up with a different design and releases it as a kit for your model number, we can only recommend this part for your unit.

Bob K for Model Number 665.16032401

The 3rd level spinner has fallen out of the arm assembly, and it won't stay in when I try to place it back in. I assume that I need to replace the spinner, but am confused about how it is reattached to the arm assembly. Do I need to remove the arm assembly to install the new spinner, or can I just push it into the arm from below? Is the shaft on the spinner supposed to be loose in the spinner itself? (It is on the old spinner and this seems to prevent me from pushing it up until it is fully seated in the arm.) The responses I have seen here are ambiguous as both methods are described. Thanks, Bob

Bob, To replace the arm you would push straight up on the spinner assembly. There should be a cap that would go into the spinner assembly that will help to keep it attached to the arm which just pushes in.

Tammy, The Upper sprayer at the top of the unit is just a push in style arm. You would just push it in and it should lock in. If not locking in then you would need the upper spray arm 8193983. If the part still does not hold in place then you would need the tower WP8579224.

William, The manufacturer has elimibnated the locking pin as a separate part, and you will need to order the spinner assembly 8193983. From your post description, you may want to check and consider the feed tube WP8579224 as well. If you're having an issue with the spinner falling out, there may be too much flaex or the tolerances are worn to the point the pin won't hold. You also need to make sure articles in the top rack, aren't hitting or catching on the spinner assembly when the rack is moved in or out.

Gary, The first thing to check, is the water level in the bottom of the tub, and the filter on the top of the pump assembly for debris and deposits. Start the dishwasher allow it to fill and wash for 5 minutes, unlatch the door and wait a few seconds, Remove the lower rach and check that the water level is in contact with the bottom of the heater element(at least) if not, you don't have enough water to produce the proper pressure and flow to feed the upper wash arm, and will most likely need a new fill valve WPW10158389 . Good Luck and Thanks
